Jessica, tired as she was, wasn't going to let this moment pass without her taking part in it. Her aunt could be in danger. Jessica wasn't as swift as the Crow, but she saw her turn into the alley her home was on, and cold daggers of fear pierced her heart. Even moreso when she arrived at the alley herself and her home's door open. Faint noises of a scuffle were audible.
Without a plan Jessica ran into the alleyway. Reaching the doorway the Crow rocketed backward, her twin blades wet with blood, and into Jessica, the two of them tumbling into a heap. Before Jessica could even begin to disentangle herself a large beast bared down on them with its long claws and sharp teeth....

(The Crow knew what she was doing, but cramped spaces aren't the best for this highly mobile fighter)
