Chapter 9 by croland croland

Who will Ruby lure into her trailer?

Chase Powers, the hunky lead actor

A knock came at the door, followed by a confused voice sonorous and deep.

Ruby purred in anticipation, glad to see her new little servant was so effective.

"Your sister said you wanted to see me?" it said.

Ruby had memories of that voice, but this new version of her had only ever heard it coming from the giant screen of a movie theater, or from that overpriced television that Diana had always resented, or from the screen of a laptop as the old Diana jerked off to him.

It was Chase Powers a man this body had thought of as, the dreamiest boy in all of show-biz. Now that Ruby was in charge of this body she wasn't intimidated by him. But just because she was now a bigshot celebrity herself, it didn't mean she should deny those memories the pleasure of ogling this piece of man-meat in the flesh.

"Yes! Chase! Please come in!" Ruby said from her desk as she finished applying the last of her makeup.

Chase was a bit nervous. He had been having the weirdest day ever. It started okay, he had woken up at 6 a.m. to start his daily workout with his trainer, followed by going to hair and makeup, then getting put into the complicated cyborg super-hero suit his character wore, only to get started on eight planned hours of shooting (which everyone knew would run over to ten). What he had not been expecting was that his scene partner would disappear. One minute he was running lines with Ruby Johnson and trying not to look at how her skintight outfit accentuated every bit of her nubile body, the next he was staring at No One. Just an empty costume. He didn't know what happened to her. He couldn't even picture her when he tried thinking about her.

The more he thought about it the more it hurt his brain. Everyone had been going crazy.

Ruby was known to be a handful for many a director, but the way she'd ducked out had been next level. He'd heard about her 'family emergency' and had just assumed it was a **** thing. He had worked on a movie with Mark Waxman and every time he had a 'family emergency' it had been **** stuff. The rumors on set were already flying.

Then she comes back, talks to no one and goes straight to her trailer. Then an incredibly sexy, weirdly familiar, woman told him Ruby needed to see him. She hadn't introduced herself, but he realized why he recognized her. She was Ruby's sister. The Ultimate Fixer.

Had he heard that somewhere? Until that moment he hadn't even known Ruby had a sister. How had he known she was a Fixer?

Probably the usual osmosis of gossip that drove this town.

Chase had no idea what was going on, but for some reason Ruby wanted to speak to him. She had always been much more sensitive than she appeared. Right? He remembered talking to her over beers a couple of times and remembered she may have been aloof around normal people, but she really opened up to him. She had been sweet and sensitive. At least that's what he thought he remembered. Now that he was recalling the moment, it seemed vague. What had she been wearing? What color was her hair? Was she really that sensitive? For some reason none of it seemed to resonate the way a normal memory did.

Whatever Ruby was going through there was only one way to find out. He opened the door, and stepped inside.

Ruby had to keep herself from leaping on Chase like a stoat in heat when he entered. She was still getting used to this new version of herself. The old Ruby never would have guessed how horny being a forty-something woman could make a gal. Of course considering the last identity that called this body home she wasn't surprised. She knew Diana had loved her husband, but there had been so much resentment between the two, that this body hadn't gotten properly laid in quite some time. Now that she was the one in charge she meant to fix that.

Chase Powers did not disappoint. Her memories hadn't thought of him as overly attractive, but seeing him with new eyes she was practically salivating at his broad shoulders, thick biceps, piercing green eyes, and close-cropped blond hair.

Chase blushed at the attention. Ruby wasn't exactly trying to hide the way she was ogling him now. She had never looked at him like that before. In fact she hadn't really looked like that at all before had she? It didn't seem right that the sexy starlet had such thick thighs, soft round features, and the show of wrinkles around her eyes. His brain was still telling him that he was looking at a twenty-eight year-old woman, but for some reason that didn't seem right. He still knew that she was voted sexiest woman alive, and he still thought she was pretty, but pretty in the way he'd always thought his childhood best-friend's mom had been. That was weird right?

Of course he knew what was going on, he wasn't getting enough sleep.

"Hey Ruby, you uh... you doing okay?" Chase said.

"You're worried about me? How sweet. Well Chase darling." Since when did she call him darling? "I mean production has been crazy, and I'm like sooo sorry I messed everything up. To be honest I'm just so embarrassed, and the 'emergency' ended up being solved so fast. I just want everything to go back to normal."

A tear rolled down Ruby's cheek. That was something Diana never could have done, and the old Ruby never would have used on a guy she wanted to hook up with. But this was the new and improved Ruby. And she was going to ride this hunk of beef one way or the other.

It may have been cliche, but it clearly worked. Chase's posture relaxed. He took a step forward.

Ruby already had a sticker in her hand.

What's written on this newest sticker?
