Dani surveyed the room. It looked to be a receptive audience. “The most important thing I have to ask is: are you happy?”

Dani gave a moment for the expected chorus of affirmation.

“Good. Now, and this might seem strange, but remember, strange is okay. Okay, so as part of the changes I’m going to suggest, some, or more than a few, will be sexual in nature.”

A few mutters, those last dregs of independent thought.

“None of that now. Remember, it’s all okay. Friendship is a wide and encompassing thing, and to be a good friend, to find happiness, you must share of yourself fully. Friend’s don’t hide things from each other.

“Now, for example, if you were to see -- what was her name Athena? Hana? Hana. If you were to see Hana here walk around fully nude, that might be strange normally, but amongst friends, it’s just an expression of their trust and love.

“Understanding this is one of the most important steps on the path to happiness.”

Hana, who was looking a little flushed at the attention, raised a hand.

“Yes, Hana?”

“Am I going to be doing that, like now?”

“Yes. That’s a good idea. Strip naked, please.”

Hana gulped. She had never been naked in front of other people like this before. She hadn’t even had a boyfriend yet, and here she was, practically becoming an exhibitionist. If I need you, I’ll have Athena notify you.” She motioned to the exit. Everyone got up.

Hana looked askance at her clothes. “Oh, none of that. You can remain naked while in the base. Only use those when you need to for work purposes or if otherwise being naked would cause you to be injured.” Hana nodded and scooped up the suit and armor rather than putting it back on. She supposed she’d just deposit them in her room for now.

With nothing more to keep them here, the team left en masse. Mercy moved to do so as well, but a hand on her shoulder stopped her. She turned around to see Dani looking at her peculiarly.

“Speaking of one-on-one sessions, why don’t we have one right now, in your lab if you don’t mind?”

Seeing no good reason why not, Angela agreed and the two left together with Dani’s arm draped around her shoulder.
