Alistair: The young Templar\Grey Warden. He's a virgin and only open to women. He's also the illegitamate son of King Maric, making him the younger brother of King Cailen...which makes him a biddable heir to the throne after Ostagar.

Leliana: a Bard born in Orlais. She came to Lothering in Ferelden to hide where she found the Maker becoming a lay sister in the Chantry, though she took no vows. She is a fiery, graceful (bard are entertainers...and assassins.) redhead. She is bi.

Morrigan: she is a witch of the wild. Open only to men, and she doesn't share. She's cold and aloof. Dark black hair pale white skin...gothic looking really.

Zevran: Elven assassin hired to kill the Grey Wardens. He fails and joins the party for protection. He is Bi.

Wynne: Senior Enchanter of the circle, she is also a survivor of Ostagar.

Ogrhen: Dwarven berserker from Orzammar.

Sten: Qunari warrior.

Queen Anora: King Cailen's wife, the daughter of the Hero of the River Dane. She does not know that here father, Teryn Loghain Mac Tir left her husband to die at Ostagar

Loghain Mac Tir: The Hero of Fereldan. King Maric's best friend. Was like a father to King Cailen...which makes his decision to withhold his flanking of the Darkspawn more confusion.

Human Noble:

Teryn Cousland: Your father, one of only two Teyrnirs left in the country, and since Loghain was a farmer before the war with Orlais, your father is the second highest noble in the land. Murdered by Arl Howe.

Teryna Elena Cousland: Your mother. Also murdered by Arl Howe.

Fergus Cousland: Your older brother, marches off to Ostagar at the behest of King Cailen. Is ambushed and nearly killed in the Korcari wilds. After the Blight he becomes Teryn.
