AUTHOR'S NOTE: I'm a visual type of person so, to me, a story that uses images to illustrate the characters helps me get more involved in the plot. It may be a cheap cop-out to some but it helps me, as the writer, to create and push ideas. I will update this as the story is added to and new characters/images are used.

(Secondary Characters)

William: 45 year-old father of Derek, Arron's co-worker at the university. He is a widower, having lost his wife Veronica to cancer 4 years prior to Arron and Sarah moving into town, he tries to do what is right by his son. Even though he does not approve of his son's sexuality, William loves his son and tries to do what is best for him. He is 6'4" tall, weighs 210 pounds, chestnut brown hair with slight graying near the temples. He works hard but is often found at home with his own business.

Derek: 24 years old, son of William, and Arron's co-worker at the university. He is very much out and is often remarked as being one of the most flamboyant people in town. He tries his best not to be too public, though, since the town is very much conservative and also that it impacts his father's life (his father losing dates because of his sexuality, something that Derek found out and tries to hide from his dad). He is a great dresser and loves to cook, travel, and is a diehard-Ru Paul's Drag Race fan from the days on LOGO.

Richard "Dick": 27 years-old, works in the Marketing School of the Business School department in the University. He is nominally a "coworker" but is known to be someone who likes to harass any woman and has a penchant for older women. He is also on the dean's "shitlist" and is perpetually living in fear of that one next mistake that will cause the axe to fall on his head.

Michael (Cop): The son of Greta, he is 43 years old and perpetually single, though often not by choice. He has worked and lived in the town his whole life, making him known throughout the community, and many have tried to set him up with one girl after another. This, inadvertently, gave him the unfair stigma of being a player and not serious, crimping his ability to end up with a woman. Still, he works hard as a police officer and often splits his time between being a patrol officer and a community liaison.

Dave Reed: A lawyer, he is 44 years old and has business throughout the local area, including in the town where Arron and Sarah have moved to. He is moderately wealthy though not in comparison to other attorneys as a sole practitioner. He has not yet met the right woman to get him to settle down but that might change.

Marc Edwards: 42 years old, project manager for Evergreen Construction, LLC, a general contractor in charge of building and renovation on the University campus. He is single, has never married, but tries to have meaningful relationships but just has not met the right woman yet to do so. He lives upstate but has been assigned to the town and is currently looking for a place to live as he currently stays in an apartment the company is renting for him. There's something about him, though, that makes him different than all the other men.

Damien Hall: 43 years old, High School Physics Teacher, and a long-time, childhood friend of Arron's from his hometown back East. The two of them grew up as next-door neighbors and through the years, they were very close, including sharing several major secrets about each other: Damien being a trans-man in otherwise perfect health and an image of masculinity (being 6'3" as a girl never hurt him earlier in life). Damien knows of Arron's history as well and is very supportive, a BFF/FWB mix. Damien has a secret that he has not told Arron about, though.

Terrance Howard: 43 year old single father of two kids, son Jaydan and daughter Hilary, and works as a junior executive in the financial department of the casino section of the enterprise. He is considered a young up-and-comer in the company and has worked from being a valet to his current position. Has strong local ties to the African-American employees in the company and is a mainstay in the local community church.
