Due to their toughness can be used as a last line of defense. There are several versions depending on the material used (mud, wood, stone, metal, etc.)
Protector - cost 10 mana per unit, 1 control point per unit. A cheap and basic summon that can be used for protection or offense. They look like a possessed suit of armor. By default armed with a sword and shield, but both can be changed later. Their shield can be replaced by a second weapon to increase offense. They have good physical stats, but tend to be quite **** to magic attacks
Scout Bird - cost 1 mana per unit, 1 control point per unit. A cheap and basic summon usually used for scouting. Takes the form of a small bird. Very fast and can see through low-level illusions and invisibility spells. Largely useless for anything else
