Chapter Twenty: The Lovers’ Pact
The morning light filtered through the curtains, gilding the edges of tangled sheets and bare limbs.
Ayan and Saba clung to each other desperately, their bodies slick with sweat, their breaths ragged. It was a rhythm they had perfected — slow and teasing one moment, urgent and consuming the next. The creak of the bed matched their gasps and moans, until finally both collapsed in a glorious tangle, foreheads pressed, hearts racing in unison.
Neither spoke at first. They just lay there, savoring the silence, the afterglow of the storm.
Then, quietly, Ayan whispered, “Saba…”
She hummed, tracing circles lazily across his chest.
“My stay in Vienna is over. I… have to go back. Pursue what I came for. My career.”
Her hand stilled for a beat, then resumed its path, softer this time. She smiled, wistful but not broken. “So, this was always meant to be temporary.”
He looked at her, searching for sorrow. But instead, he found mischief. A spark in her eyes that refused to dim.
Saba smirked, tugging his hair. “Then we’ll make it temporary on our own terms. Whenever we cross paths again, you’ll know exactly what I expect.”
Ayan chuckled, brushing his lips against hers. “And what’s that?”
She whispered, hot and certain: “Nights like this. Nothing more. Nothing less.”
They sealed it with a kiss. Not one of promise, but of pact — an understanding that what they had was rare, raw, and unashamedly physical.
Two Nights, Two Worlds
Days later.
Ayan sat at a polished bar in a dimly lit lounge, his tie loosened, glass of whiskey in hand. That’s when Brandi slid onto the stool next to him — a woman with kind eyes, a tired smile, and the kind of energy that spoke of both responsibility and longing. They traded glances, then words, then laughter. One thing led to another.
At her home, the night unfolded in a rush of lips and hands. Clothes hit the floor, bodies collided with urgency, and Ayan found himself lost in Brandi’s warmth. It wasn’t love. It wasn’t tenderness. It was release, raw and unapologetic, and it thrilled him.
—
Meanwhile, in Vienna, Saba prowled a neon-lit street, heels tapping against the pavement. A young man, barely more than a stranger, crossed her path with hungry eyes. She held his gaze, crooked a finger, and he followed.
At her apartment, she was the predator and he, the prey. She pressed him against the door, devouring his lips, guiding his hands, dictating the rhythm. Their bodies writhed against the walls, the couch, the floor — reckless, sweaty, a blur of lust that left him dazed and her gloriously satisfied.
—
The Bond Reforged
Later that night, in two separate beds, two lovers reached for their phones.
Ayan, sprawled against Brandi’s sheets, snapped a lazy selfie — his arm draped over the single mom’s sleeping form. He smirked at the camera, sending it across continents.
Saba, hair mussed and glowing, curled against her young conquest, the sheets barely covering her. She snapped her own mirror of his — lips curved in a sly smile — and hit send.
The messages crossed like arrows, landing in each other’s inboxes at the same moment. Both opened. Both saw. Both laughed quietly, shaking their heads at the sheer audacity of what they’d become.
Not lovers. Not a couple. Something freer. A bond without labels, anchored by fire, mischief, and memory.
Ayan kissed Brandi’s shoulder absently. Saba toyed with the hair of her nameless stranger.
And somewhere between them, a connection pulsed stronger than distance, stronger than time.
Because for them, this was never about permanence.
It was about pleasure.
And it was beautiful.
The End.
