Chapter Thirty-Two: Spent
Another hour had passed.
And now, finally, they were done.
The suite smelled of sweat, sex, and satisfaction. The air was heavy, humid with indulgence. The sheets were tangled. The room glowed faintly with the last golden light of the city beyond the windows.
Daniel lay flat on his back, utterly wrecked. His body slick with sweat, his chest rising and falling in deep, deliberate breaths.
On either side of him, Vivian and Elena were just as spent and equally flushed, equally satisfied.
Their legs still trembled from the aftershocks.
Their bodies were marked by him.
And their insides were, quite literally, filled.
Vivian stretched with a languid sigh, her nails trailing across Daniel’s chest.
“Well,” she murmured, her voice rough around the edges, “I don’t think I’ll need to use my vibrator for at least a month.”
Daniel huffed a laugh, voice too dry to be anything but honest. “Jesus.”
Elena chuckled, dragging her fingers idly along his stomach. “Speak for yourself. I might need to retire mine permanently.”
Vivian raised a brow, turning toward her. “Careful, Elena. We keep talking like this and Reyes might start thinking we actually need him around.”
Elena smirked and rolled onto her side, hair tousled, eyes gleaming. She glanced down at Daniel.
“Oh, please. We were just being generous.”
Daniel scoffed, lips curling. “Yeah, sure you were.”
Vivian pressed a lazy kiss to his shoulder. “Either way… you left us very, very satisfied.”
Elena hummed in agreement, stretching her body out, fingers trailing down her stomach.
“Mmm,” she teased. “Filled up nice and proper.”
She gave her belly a mock-pensive pat. “Honestly, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say someone was trying to knock us up.”
Daniel groaned and threw an arm over his face. “You two are insufferable.”
Elena poked his ribs. “What? Did we hit a nerve?”
Vivian propped herself up, eyes narrowing in mock suspicion. “Wait a second.” She looked at him as if unearthing something important. “Reyes…”
She leaned in, voice dropping. “Do you have a breeding kink?”
Daniel made a noise halfway between a scoff and a laugh. “Shut the hell up.”
That was all the permission they needed.
Vivian burst out laughing and grabbed a pillow, swatting him lightly with it. “That’s why he’s been filling us like a man on a mission.”
Elena joined in, dragging her hand across her belly like she was seriously contemplating the risk. “Huh. He really did go all in, didn’t he?”
Daniel groaned again, but this time, he was smiling. Exhausted. Smudged. Happy.
And then quietly, unexpectedly he exhaled and said, “It’s not like that.”
Both women stilled, just a little.
“I just… I always wanted a big family,” he admitted, eyes still on the ceiling.
Vivian blinked. “Seriously?”
Daniel nodded. “Yeah. Samantha didn’t, though. She only wanted one. So… that’s what we had.”
A beat passed. The teasing faded, just for a moment.
Elena reached for his hand.
Vivian watched him carefully.
Then, with zero warning and full mischief, she grasped his still-soft cock in her hand.
Daniel startled slightly, half laughing, half sighing.
“You’re full of surprises, counselor,” she said, her voice velvet again, teasing but threaded with something gentler. Her grip wasn’t lewd, it was affectionate, claiming, curious.
Daniel shrugged. “So are you.”
“You’re not defined by her, Daniel,” Vivian said, quieter now. “You’re your own person. Learn from that.”
There was a long pause, soft and full of breath. And then Elena spoke.
“I remember a bright-eyed young lawyer showing up in my courtroom,” she said, her voice low and fond, like a memory she’d tucked away until now. “Nervous as hell. Full of ideals. Always prepared. Always fighting for the people no one else wanted to touch.”
Daniel chuckled under his breath. “You mean the guy you used to yell at in front of a full docket?”
“I didn’t yell,” Elena said, smirking. “I challenged. And you rose to it.”
She turned toward him, propping herself on an elbow, her gaze softening. “You were brilliant. Raw, maybe. But brilliant. You still are.”
Vivian raised an eyebrow from the other side of the bed. “High praise coming from her,” she muttered, feigning disbelief.
Elena smiled. “Don’t get used to it.”
Daniel let the words settle in. They felt like warmth under his skin. He looked between them one with fire in her eyes, the other with steel, and for the first time in a long time, he didn’t feel like he had to perform. He just… was.
He remembered who he’d been back in LA, when he’d first started out. He wanted to be that person again.
Daniel exhaled slowly.
Vivian let him go, finally, and leaned back against the pillows.
Elena squeezed his hand once, then tucked herself closer to his side.
The room was quiet again.
But not empty.
