Chapter 3 - Motherhood

Dr. Challus Mercer.

When it came time for breakfast and Nina woke up she looked tired, but if she had any soreness she didn't mention it. She ate as normal, expressing her fears of the necromorphs outside, and if they got in, that she didn't want to die. I of course reassured her. They wouldn't harm dear Nina, not when one of their own grew in her womb. I took pride in what I had accomplished, the next trial was making sure our child grew healthy and came to term, and with any luck, it would be male. A male could much more easily procreate than a female. He could impregnate hundreds of women with his young. I could only hope.

Dr. Challus Mercer.

When Nina came to breakfast I was shocked. Her belly looked ever so slightly rounded, and she complained her pants weren't fitting properly. Could it be the baby? Or a side effect I didn't foresee? She seemed perfectly healthy, not even complaining of nausea. I never considered the fetus's growth rate might be different than a normal human's. Tonight, I would find out.

Dr. Challus Mercer.

I **** Nina again, I had to give her a lighter dose for the sake of the baby, I didn't know how much it could handle. When I set up the equipment and scanned Nina's womb, I was overjoyed to see not only was she fine, but so was our baby. It was indeed growing faster than I ever could have expected. It was already a foot long. It was making Nina look approximately two months pregnant. I was ecstatic. This meant the necromorphs would be able to breed much faster. I couldn’t help but gently rub Nina's growing tummy. She was already showing the signs of motherhood.

Dr. Challus Mercer.

Nina's stomach now appeared to be four months pregnant, she could no longer fit into her pants and wore one of my old medical coats buttoned up. Silly girl didn't need to worry about modesty in front of the father of her child. I could tell she was getting worried, but she tried to hide it.

Star date: October 26th, 2508

Log: 15

Dr. Challus Mercer.

Nina's belly now appeared five months pregnant, our child hadn't begun to move yet but she was panicking. I took her to my office, careful to avoid any rooms where my experiments were or the doner for our baby was. I did a scan of her belly and of course, put up a false image. Nina didn't need to know she was pregnant. She would worry.

I moved the monitor around so she could see there was nothing there. I assured her she must have eaten something that didn't agree with her and it was causing severe bloating. She seemed to calm down a bit and accepted my answer. But I knew she didn't fully believe it. And at the rate our child was growing, by tomorrow there would be no hiding it. I didn't want to, but for the sake of the baby, I needed to **** her, at least a little for the final days. If she stressed it would stress the baby.

Log: 16

Dr. Challus Mercer.

Nina looked six months pregnant now, as a result, her adorable little belly button had popped out. I checked the baby's development with the scans and it continued to show it was healthy, though I still didn't see any signs of a gender. It must have one. On the monitor, I saw the baby move. And I couldn't help myself, I had to feel. I laid my head on Nina's pregnant tummy and patiently waited, I could hear our baby's heartbeat, which warmed my heart, and then soon after, I felt a little kick. My baby, my little Nina's and mine baby had kicked. I was overcome with fatherly joy.

Dr. Challus Mercer.

The baby's growth had slowed down some, Nina's appeared seven months pregnant today. Her breasts had begun milk production in preparation for the baby. And I took the opportunity to taste it. Make sure it is suitable for our baby. I was also happy to finally confirm the baby's gender. It was a boy. My son was going to be a strong male that would help bring enlightenment to every woman's womb he met.

Dr. Challus Mercer.

Our son continued to grow, and Nina now appeared eight months pregnant. She showed no signs of distress while she slept, there was no indication of stretch marks and her health was good, in fact seemingly better than ever! By my guess, our son was helping his mother's body cope with the accelerated pregnancy. What a good boy.

Dr. Challus Mercer.

Nina now appeared nine months pregnant, our son was moving quite often in her womb. He seemed very eager to be born. At the rate of his growth and development, tomorrow should be the day I welcome my son into the world, the new progenitor of the necromorphs. The new Adam of the world.
