Chapter 2: Uchiha Annoyed

Furensō finished cooking the last dish of the day and took off his apron. It had been a hard day, but a satisfying one. He had prepared over a hundred dishes, and all the customers had been happy with his food. Furensō was proud of his work and his talent.

He said goodbye to his fellow cooks and went out the back door. He met Teuchi, who was waiting for him with a smile.

-Furensō, son, you've done an excellent job," Teuchi told him, "You're the best chef I've ever had.

-Thank you, Teuchi- said Furensō modestly- It's a pleasure to work for you.

-No, the pleasure is mine," said Teuchi, "And that's why I want to give you a gift.

-A gift?" asked Furensō in surprise.

-Yes, a gift," said Teuchi, "Look, I've gotten you an appointment with the Hokage.

The Saiyan looked with surprise at the letter in his boss's hand.

-An appointment with the Hokage?" repeated Furensō in confusion.

-Yes, yes, an appointment with the Hokage- said Teuchi excitedly- It turns out that the Hokage is a big fan of your food, and she wants to meet you in person. She's asked me to bring you to her office tomorrow morning.

-But... Why?" asked Furensō without understanding.

-Well, because you are a genius in the kitchen, son," said Teuchi, "And also because the Hokage wants to talk to you about something important.

The young man with tousled black hair raised an eyebrow at those last words.

-Something important?" Furensō insisted.

-Yes, something very important," said Teuchi with a mysterious tone, "But I can't tell you more. You'll have to find out for yourself tomorrow.

-Well... all right- said Furensō without much conviction- If the Hokage wants to see me, I'll go see her.

-That's what I wanted to hear- said Teuchi satisfied- I'm sure you're in for something big, son. Something that will change your life forever.

Furensō was not so sure about that. He didn't know what the Hokage could want from him, nor what could change his life. He was content with his life as it was. He didn't need anything else.

-"Well, you know," Teuchi said, "Tomorrow at nine o'clock you must be at the Hokage's office. Remember to bring your full equipment.

-All right, Teuchi- said Furensō resignedly- I'll be there tomorrow.

-Very well, son. See you the day after tomorrow," said Teuchi saying goodbye.

-See you tomorrow, Teuchi," said Furensō doing the same.

Furensō left the restaurant and headed home. On the way, he passed several people who greeted him or paid him compliments. Furensō returned their greetings or thanked them politely, but without paying much attention to them. He just wanted to get home and rest.

However, not everyone who saw him was kind to him. Some looked at him with envy or spite. One of them was Sasuke Uchiha, an 18-year-old boy with jet black hair and coal black eyes. Sasuke was a shinobi from the village, a member of team 7 along with Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno. He was a handsome and talented boy, but also cold and arrogant. Sasuke was the last survivor of the Uchiha clan, one of the most powerful and prestigious in the village. His clan had been slaughtered by his older brother Itachi Uchiha, who had betrayed the village and joined a criminal organization called Akatsuki. Sasuke had sworn to take **** on Itachi and kill him, and for that he had trained hard for years. Sasuke was considered one of the best shinobi of his generation, and had many admirers and followers. But he also had many rivals and enemies. One of them was Furensō.

Sasuke hated Furensō for several reasons. The first was that Furensō was stronger than him. Sasuke had proven this on several occasions, when they had faced each other in friendly matches or tournaments. Furensō had always beaten him, no matter what techniques or tricks Sasuke used. Furensō was faster, tougher, smarter and more powerful than Sasuke. And worst of all, Furensō was not a shinobi, but a simple chef. Sasuke couldn't stand that someone who wasn't dedicated to being a ninja was superior to him, who had dedicated his life to being the best.

The second reason was that Furensō was more popular than him. Sasuke had many fans, especially girls, who adored him and followed him everywhere. But Furensō had even more. Furensō was loved and respected by the whole village, not only for his beauty and charisma, but also for his kindness and humility. Furensō was a friend to everyone, and always helped others without asking for anything in return. Furensō was an example to follow, and Sasuke hated him for that.

The third reason was that Furensō had taken Sakura away from him. Sakura was an 18-year-old girl with pink hair and green eyes. She was a village kunoichi, a member of team 7 along with Naruto and Sasuke. She was a pretty and smart girl, but also insecure and lovesick. Sakura had been in love with Sasuke since they were children, and had always tried to get his attention and win his love. But Sasuke had never paid any attention to her, never even addressed her. Sasuke only had eyes for his ****, and he didn't care about anyone else.

But one day, everything changed. Sakura met Furensō, and fell in love with him instantly. Furensō had saved her life when she was on a dangerous mission, and since then they had not been separated. Furensō had shown her his interest and affection, and had made her feel special and loved. Sakura had forgotten Sasuke and had given herself to Furensō.

Sasuke couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe that Sakura had abandoned him for Furensō. He couldn't believe that she preferred a chef to a shinobi. He couldn't believe she was happy with someone else.

Sasuke felt jealousy, anger and resentment towards Furensō. He wanted to make him pay for everything he had taken from him. He wanted to defeat and humiliate him. He wanted to make him suffer.

That's why, when he saw Furensō pass in front of him on his bike, he couldn't hold back.

-Furensō- said Sasuke with a cold voice- I challenge you to a match.

Furensō stopped and turned around. He saw Sasuke standing in the middle of the street, with a defiant look on his face.

-Hello, Sasuke- said Furensō calmly- What do you want?

-You heard him- said Sasuke arrogantly- I challenge you to a match.

-Again?" asked Furensō with boredom- Aren't you tired of losing?

-I haven't lost- said Sasuke proudly- I've just been unlucky.

-Yeah, right- said Furensō with irony- And I'm the Hokage.

-Don't make fun of me- said Sasuke angrily- You know I'm better than you.

-No, you're not- said Furensō with sincerity- You're a good shinobi, but I'm stronger than you.

-That's a lie- said Sasuke with denial- You're just a mediocre chef.

-I'm not mediocre," said Furensō firmly, "I'm an excellent chef.

-Don't make me laugh- said Sasuke with contempt- Being a chef is nothing compared to being a shinobi.

-Being a chef is my passion- said Furensō proudly- And it makes me happy.

-Well, you should give up your passion and dedicate yourself to be a shinobi," said Sasuke with superiority, "Then you could be something useful for the village.

-I don't need to be a shinobi," said Furensō calmly, "I'm happy being a chef.

-You don't know what you're saying- said Sasuke with frustration- Being shinobi is the most important thing there is.

-Not for me- said Furensō honestly- For me the most important thing is my family and my job.

-Your family and your job are nothing," said Sasuke with contempt.

-Be careful what you say, Sasuke. Because I'll beat you up and I won't be soft like Naruto- warned Furensō coldly- But, I don't feel like fighting with you, so go away and don't bother me.

The Uchiha flinched slightly at the Chef's threat, but this he quickly brushed aside and instead growled angrily.

-"Well, I do want to fight you, mediocre Chef," Sasuke said angrily, "And I don't care what you want. I'm going to **** you to fight, and I'm going to beat you. I'm going to show you who's the best!

Having said that, Sasuke took out a kunai from his pocket and threw it at Furensō with ****. Furensō reacted on instinct and dodged the weapon, which grazed past his head, with no problem. Furensō let out a sigh at how annoying the youngest Uchiha left in the world was.

Sasuke activated his Sharingan and took advantage of Furensō's "distraction" and lunged at him, ready to attack him with his fists and feet (Taijutsu). Furensō defended himself with ease, blocking Sasuke's blows or moving away from them. Until there came a time when he was too repetitive and ended up getting tired of this useless fight with the Uchiha, so the Saiyan slapped him with his right hand in the face.

The emo avenger went flying and hit against some nearby stones, where he was left lying on the ground, **** and bleeding... Oops. Maybe I used too much ****.

Furensō looked at Sasuke with pity and compassion. He didn't hold a grudge for attacking him, he just felt sorry for him. Sasuke was a citizen of Konoha like him, but he was lost and obsessed with his ****. Furensō wished he could help him, but he didn't know how.

Furensō decided to leave Sasuke alone, and left there in the direction of his home. On the way, he wondered what the next day had in store for him. He had an appointment with the Hokage, and he didn't know what she wanted from him.
