Chapter 17: They meet trouble

Thirty minutes later Shaggy pushed a couple branches aside. “We’re here. The Lost Trail.”

Daphne looked about. It did not look too overgrown. She could still clearly see the edges. “This is it?”

“Yep. Used to be much clearer, less undergrowth. You ready?”

“Ready as I’ll ever be.”

The three started down the trail. Some parts were almost pristine. Other parts looked like nobody had been there in at least three years. They could hear the birds singing and the rustle of the occasional animal.

A distance down the path Scooby’s ears perked up. He sniffed a couple of times. There’s somebody up ahead.

Daphne did not look thrilled.

Shaggy looked at great Dane. “How many?”

“Two.” He sniffed again. “I don’t recognize them.”

They advanced cautiously.

“You!!!”

“There she is!!”

Both statements were shouted at the same time.

It was said dogs can sense much that normal humans cannot. He did not need the next statement from these two to know there would be trouble. “Shaggy? Are these the…”

“Yes Scooby. They are.” He sounded noting like his normal relaxed self.

One of the stalkers spoke. But he might as well have kept as silent as his partner for all the good it did. “Seems we found our fucktoy. Come with us. When we are done, you will be the proper submissive slut Brad deserves.”

The response Daphne wanted to give would have been unprintable.

She backed up slowly , grabbing Shaggy’s hand.

Shaggy had a plan. Probably a commonly used plan in this circumstance. He whispered, “When I say run… in Daphne’s ear. “Scooby. The rolling kennel.”

Scooby nodded. “Gotcha. Now roll.”

“Run!”

Daphne ran.

Scooby held his ground growling for a few minutes. Then he ran after them.
