The Advance upgraded ship that was in the hands of the Alliance fleet under control of Shepard. The Asari, Turians and Salarians didn't like the way they git bullied in to forcing the technology or how the Alliance made sure that the one ship that could destroy them was in the hands of the Shepard.

On there way back from Asari homeworld , they stop off at several specie planets. Includding the Volis, hanar.

As the SV4 Normandy approach the planet. They detected something else wrong. The planet was under attack from something or someone. Not to get to close the Normandy and fleets took up position above the planet.
