Chapter 15: The Offer
Elena walked down the quiet hallway toward Dr. Elias Thorne's office, her heels clicking softly against the polished floor. Her heart was still racing from what had just happened in the lecture hall — showing Max and David her breast, Max snapping that picture, the way they had looked at her like she was something they could devour.
She took a deep breath and knocked on the heavy wooden door.
"Come in," Elias's deep voice called from inside.
Elena pushed the door open and stepped into the spacious office. It was elegantly furnished — dark wood shelves lined with medical books, a large mahogany desk, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the campus. Elias sat behind his desk, looking every bit the powerful department chair in his crisp black shirt and tie.
He gestured to the chair in front of his desk. "Please, sit."
Elena sat down, crossing her legs and trying to appear calm.
Elias leaned back in his chair, studying her for a moment before speaking.
"So, Dr. Voss… how is everything going with your classes? You're still fairly new here. I wanted to check in personally."
Elena offered a polite smile. "Everything is going great, actually. The students are engaged, and I'm settling in well."
Elias nodded slowly. "Good. And… has anyone been giving you any trouble? I remember that first lecture — some of the back-row boys were quite disrespectful."
For a split second, the faces of Max and David flashed through Elena's mind — the way they had used her mouth just yesterday, the way they had begged to see her tits today. She pushed the thoughts away quickly.
"No," she said smoothly. "Everyone has been very nice to me."
Elias stood up and began walking slowly around his office, hands clasped behind his back. His presence filled the room.
"What about your personal life?" he asked casually, though there was something sharper in his tone. "Everything is fine? How is your married life?"
Elena blinked, caught off guard. "I… I don't know. Edward and I are both very busy with work. It's hard to find time for each other right now. But I'm sure we'll manage." She gave an awkward smile.
Elias turned to face her, his eyes gleaming with interest. "Is that so? I see… I see. That's understandable. When both partners are working full-time, it becomes difficult to prioritize each other."
"Yeah," Elena said quietly. "So… is that all you wanted to ask?"
Elias returned to his desk but didn't sit. "Yes. I just wanted to make sure everything is going well for you here. And I want you to know — if you ever need anything… anything at all… you can come to me. No questions asked."
Elena stood up, smoothing her skirt. "Thank you, sir. That's very generous of you."
She turned toward the door. "Okay then, I'll take my leave."
"Wait."
Elena paused and looked back.
Elias hesitated for a moment, then spoke again. "So… you don't want anything? From me?"
Elena frowned slightly, confused. "I'll keep that in mind when I need something. Err… you look confused, sir. Am I missing something? Do you need something from me?"
Elias let out a short, awkward laugh. "Haha, no no… nothing. You can go."
Elena nodded, still puzzled, and left the office, closing the door behind her.
The moment she was gone, Elias dropped into his chair and ran a hand through his hair.
"Shit…" he muttered under his breath. "It was looking so unprofessional to ask her directly. This has always been my problem… I couldn't say what I really want."
He stared at the monitors on his desk — the hidden camera feeds he had been watching for weeks. One of them showed Elena walking down the hallway right now.
He leaned back, exhaling slowly.
"Looks like I need to manage with the videos only for now… until I get a better opportunity. Maybe I can bust them then join later. Let's see."
Elena walked across campus toward the parking lot, her mind still turning over the strange conversation with Elias. Something about the way he had looked at her — the way he had emphasized "anything" — made her uneasy. And yet… there had been a strange pull in his voice.
She was halfway to her car when a familiar voice called out.
"Hey, Elena!"
She turned to see Dr. Caleb Ruiz jogging lightly to catch up with her.
"Are you ready for tomorrow?" he asked with a warm smile. "We have dinner planned tomorrow night, right?"
Elena nodded. "Yeah, I remember. Text me tomorrow about the location and time."
"Definitely," Caleb said. "See you tomorrow then."
"Bye," Elena replied with a small smile.
They parted ways.
Elena had barely taken a few more steps when two more familiar voices called out from behind her.
"Hi, Ma'am…"
She turned to find Max and David standing there, both grinning.
David stepped forward. "Do you still have some time? We can continue our things…"
Elena looked at them, then at her watch, then back at their eager faces.
The day was far from over.
