Chapter 13: That’s it!

That’s it.

I have had it.

All I may get out of this is the chance to console Brad. And I will be doing that away from this cursed place. Admittedly this place does not look too bad in the daylight, but there are other places that are much better.

Places whose people she actually understood and wanted to be with.

It took about an hour, but Rachel made it to the tourist area.

The tables and booths looked all cheery. Nearly any sort of craft product one would think a hippie commune would produce was offered. Other tents had displays and residents explaining their lifestyle. They explained that there more than free love and music. That there was work done here too. It was amazing how much movies and confused the issue.

The food court was amazing. Since they were in the public area, all the food as safe for even the youngest child. There was not all that many things that made it stand out from such festivals in the nineteen sixties. First, they kept it PG. Second, no beyond aspirin outside the first aid tent. And while she was not absolutely sure that the hippies back then were not smart enough to have medics that knew what they were doing… scratch that. That was getting a bit complex. Certainly they had an advanced one now. Having tourists die on your property was never a good thing.

Certainly not if you intended a lot of your needed income for survival that way.

Or, in the case of the past, peace, love and brotherhood was never helped by ****.

All in all, the more Rachel thought about it, it could be the perfect place to come to get away from any stress. No rational person would ever expect Rachel Blake to willingly come here. Or indeed any Blake for that matter.

Still, the parking lot was that way.

She got into her sports car and drove away.

Did Megan ever get her happy ending?
