Chapter 1 Continued

I took a sip and looked towards Vivian who was enjoying her coffee as usual. Now I wanted to ask her about last night and about why she is refusing sex with me and I noticed that she looked at my face and understood the question whether instinctively or knowingly, who knows.

“Connor, you know our sex life has not been the best.” she started and looking at her facial expressions, she was still dead tired and there was a lot of disappointment on her face. She continued, “Connor, this is on you-”

“Babe, I am literally trying so hard! I want to just make you happy but that doesn’t mean that you could ignore my feelings.” I was so devastated hearing that, so I cut her off without even letting her finish. I just kept at it and asked her, “Why am I the problem?”

She replied with something that completely destroyed me, “Connor, you are small.” She said four words. Only four words. However these are the four words that no guy ever wants to hear. But that raised an obvious question, “Vivian, why did you stay with me for 3 years, if that was such a big deal to you?”

I tried to look stern and strong but deep down, I was absolutely wrecked and her next words did not help me either.

“Babe, you are so sweet, charming, enthusiastic and when you try real hard, you sometimes, like very rarely but still do satisfy me but ever since you started going to your work, you have been tired and you are unable to satisfy in the bed anymore.” What a cold, calculated and logical answer. Man, I don’t even know how to respond to this. I wish I did, but I do not.

“So, what now?” I asked her with a lot of worry in my voice and she made a heavy sigh and I was waiting on her next few words.

“I do not know” she answered, a little too honestly. It seemed that even she wanted to say a little more but could not find the words. I understood that. After this, as she needed to head down to the work, I decided to change the subject and told her that Kim is going to staying with us for few days.
