Chapter 1:Orleans

As Ritsuka opened her eyes she saw vast green fields and forests and clear blue sky, with huge ring of light, as if Earth had a rings like Saturn.

"Master, do you see it too?" - looking to the side Ritsuka saw Mash, also looking up into the sky.

"Yes, do you know what is it?"

"Um, no idea... some magecraft maybe?"

"Foou..."

"Eh? Fou, you came with us? How?"

"Probably he sneaked into your Coffin, Senpai."

"...and yes, we're connected! Not the best quality, but I've got video feed now too! Hey girls, what's wrong with you two? Both of you staring at the sky like that." - suddenly a blue screen appeared and Dr. Roman appeared on screen.

"Uh, Doctor I'll send you visuals..."

"...o-okay, that's something new... Some magecraft? Anyway, it's really huge... maybe even bigger than whole North America... And I can't find any records about something like this in 15th century... or anywhere else..."

"Oh, Roman, you didn't said us what's going on!"

"Really? Sorry, I forgot... okay, let's do briefing now. Currently you're in 1431 year in France. Just like in Fuyuki you have to secure Holy Grail and find Lev, and try to find out what this ring of light is, also try to find leyline first."

As they walked own the road Ritsuka took a look at herself: instead of her Mystic Code, that she put on before Rayshift, she was dressed in black short dress with some delicate armor plates, the dress was pretty tight, as if it was one or two sizes smaller, but it still was pretty comfortable. Though the skirt was short, it still covers her butt and bulging panties. Her arms and legs were protected by armored gloves and boots and in her arm she held long spear with big heart-shaped tip.

"Oh, Senpai, look! I see people!" - exclaimed Mash pointing forward, looking there Ritsuka saw a group of people. - "They looks like soldiers... but let's try to talk. Hello, excuse me. We are travelers—"

"..."

"Fou?"

"Eek! Enemy attack! Prepare to fight!" - one soldier screamed when Fou tried to come closer. Immediately the girls were surrounded and soldiers pointed their spears and swords at them.

"...okay, I'm back! Eh, what's going on? I left you for couple minutes and you already get in trouble?"

"Um, it's my mistake... I should've greeted them in French... Doctor, maybe you know what to do in such situations?"

"Eh, well maybe you just need to think of a witty joke, right? Like "knock, knock!" or something?"

"I hear some weird voice! All hands, ready your weapons! They're too suspicious!"

"Damn, Mash, looks like the fight is unavoidable!"

"Okay, it's isolated world, so don't worry about time paradoxes, but still, girls try to limit the bloodshed to a minimum!"

"Charge!" - the soldiers attacked them.

RItsuka was worried about this fight at first, as there are too many enemies for Mash, but young Master quickly noticed that her strength and especially her agility and speed are greatly enhanced, so dodging and parrying attacks were pretty easy even considering her lack of battle experience. But holding back to avoid killing was pretty hard for her and Ritsuka noticed that Mash struggles with it as well, though there were less and less enemies, and soon they picked up their wounded comrades and quickly retreated were they come from.

"*sigh* ...that was exhausting, especially mentally."

"You did great, Mash. Good job!"

"Thanks senpai. But they retreated..."

"Oh, that's actually good! If you quietly follow them, they'll lead you to town or fort. Just don't forget to speak to them in French..."

"That's actually good idea, Doctor."

"Well, what are we waiting for then? Let's go, Mash!"
