Chaos at City Hall

ONE WEEK LATER...

Janet had been a homebody at her mother's place. Though her mother was confident with her mask and quick speed no one would have recognized her, but Janet felt so... exposed! She kept flashing to running naked in her mind, unable to shake the image. Also the feeling of helping those people, that at least made her happy.

So they were staying in watching television, when the local news was cut in by an update. It was shaky footage of a reporter hunched over by a car.

"This is Chuck Markson here live on the scene as two known costumed villains, Recoil and Cutlass, are wrecking havoc at city hall!"

The camera swung up and showed The two women facing off against squads of police. The pair was holding off half the police ****.

"As you can see, the pair seem massively upgraded with new weaponry and armor." The reporter said. As if to prove his point Recoil fired a blast from her rifle that sent a burst of energy sending police scattering like dominoes. At the same time Cutlass slashed with her blade, cutting clear through a car with what appeared to be some sort of energy blade.

"Police attempted to storm the pair after negations broke down when they took the mayor hostage." The reporter exclaimed before Janet's mother turned off the television.

"You have to go there!" She said to Janet. "You have to stop them!"

Janet bit her lip. What could she do?

"People need you Janet!" Her mother said. That decided it. Her father would go and fight, she had to as well.

"I'll need a ride." Janet said.

"Don't forget your costume! Her mother said as she grabbed the car keys and they started to leave...
