Chad: An Ordinary, Average Guy

Chad Berman was typical college sophomore. Nothing really stood out about him if anyone saw him

He worked part-time and went to school full time. He had some money he inherited from his dad who was killed by a drunk driver when Chad was 17. Chad's mom had died after childbirth, and his dad remarried when Chad was 15.

Chad never got along with his stepmother Bonnie, and her daughter Mallory, who was Chad's age.

After his dad died, they were cold and aloof to him, apparently only being nice to him to humor his father when he was alive. Bonnie did her best to get as much of Chad's father's money as possible and told Chad that he could stay at "her" home after he graduated high school, but once college started, he was out.

Mallory went off to college and flunked out after a year for too much partying and trying to be a successful influencer instead of a successful student.

One day Chad found a package in his mailbox at the dorm. Inside were the five rings and the instructions. Chad thought about Bonnie and Mallory's best friends: another mother/daughter duo whose mom was single after divorcing her third husband. Jackie and Haileigh Morgansen.

Chad had crushed on both, but they were just like his stepmom and stepsister.

But would the rings really work?
