Centaurs Bathe in Mountain Streams.

Kaya laughed, “Of course it would be, Centaurs normally bathe together in steams so we are used to the cold.”

Jan paused a moment, “Bathe together?” She asked slightly confused.

“Jan, our arms aren’t that long, we can’t wash all our body ourselves, you didn’t realise that while helping my father?” She laughed still fumbling things in the kitchen as the eggs slowly cooked.

Jan turned her head to the side, “I suppose I had never thought of that really.” She said.

Kaya leant into Jan and kissed her on the lips, the gesture was more romantic than affectionate, “I suppose we have a lot to learn about each other and our respective cultures.” She said, “I know that in your culture dating starts before joining the herd so to speak.”

Jan was confused again, “Joining the herd?”

Kaya took a breath, “In centaur culture someone leaves their herd, Mum and Dad in this case, and joins another herd, you guys.” Jan blinked, “We do so much in groups that I would move in and find a place in the herd before ‘dating’ someone.” She emphasised the word dating.

“Wait,” Jan began, “you would leave home and move in with another family before even dating someone?”

“Well, yeah.” Kaya smiled, “Herds aren’t big, so the chance of me being related to everyone in the herd is pretty high, so we leave that community to find another community. But in human culture we don’t just move in together, and that’s kind of why I thought I would ask to date you guys.”

“That, makes sense actually.” Jan conceded, “But I don’t think I am ready for you to move in just yet.” Jan suddenly laughed.

“What?” Kaya was taken by surprise.

“Last night your father was fucking me like mad, telling me how he was looking forward to breeding me and I agreed with him.” She explained, “I begged him to breed me, and now I am saying that I am not ready for my girlfriend to move in with me. But apparently I am eager for her father to put a foal in my cunt.”

Kaya laughed, “Our cultures don’t quite meet do they.” She said, “Why are you ready to let Dad breed you but not anything else?” She asked.

Jan shook her head, “It makes no sense, but the desire to be bred is kind of an urge, not a commitment, even though it would be a commitment, but even dating someone is more of a commitment to me.”

Kaya frowned, “So when he knocks you up, as you have put it, it is about passion rather than commitment, even though the result of that passion is going to be with you for years.”

Jan nodded, “Yeah that’s about it.”

“But humans have medicine to end a pregnancy.” Kaya left the thought unfinished.
