Harris McMahon had a double major in psychology and pharmaceutical chemistry. He graduated high school at 16 and was valedictorian. He had a full ride scholarship to UCLA. He had always been a "nerd" and socially awkward, but at 19, he had had a girlfriend, another nerdy brainiac, but they broke up because he wanted sex, and she wanted to wait. He had never gotten past second base.

Harris came from a poor family and even though the scholarship paid for tuition, books, and room & board, it left him with no spending money, so he worked at a swanky cafe as a waiter. The cafe was popular with celebrities.

Harris had developed a powerful mind control drug while working alone late nights in the chemistry lab.
