Cats out the bag

A great deal of time has passed since Dolan accidentally located Penny and brought her back to his home. Since Winter was undoubtedly working at the moment, they decided to find something to do to pass the time until they can hear back from Winter. In particular, Penny seemed most interested in watching some of the movies on Dolan's shelf and so spent the majority of the day binge-watching the "Dust Wars" franchise which Penny instantly became hooked especially towards the two droids which she seemed to enjoy whenever they were on the screen.

Penny: Amazing, to think that those two droids were there in both wars; it's nothing less than incredible!

Dolan: They certainly are among the fan's favorites that's for sure.

Penny: So, are there any more movies?

Dolan: Unfortunately, they only came out with "six" movies. Yup, only "six".

Penny: Oh... well that's a shame.

Dolan: Anyway, I think it's about time we got ready and prepared something to eat. Is there anything, in particular, they you've got a hankering for? I'm sure there's something I can fix up for you.

Penny: Oh no that's quite alright really, you've been so kind as to open up your home to me I don't want to take advantage of your kindness, Dolan!

Dolan: Heh, It's fine Penny! You don't need to be so skittish about helping yourself to some good food! Hell, I'd feel like a bad host if you didn't accept my offer!

Penny: I see... well... the thing is I can't eat at the moment...

Dolan: Is this some kind of Atlas regiment I'm not aware of?

Penny: Um...

The more Dolan seemed to push the issue the more uncomfortable Penny was becoming. Seeing how distraught she was Dolan's A.I. was about to chime in when she suddenly felt something. It seemed as though Winter Schnee was finally responding to Dolan's earlier message and immediately used this as her opportunity to change the topic at hand.

Annie: Dolan sir! It would appear that Ms. Winter is finally responding.

Dolan: Ah wonderful, come here Penny, and we'll speak with Winter and show her you're alright.

Penny: O-Ok!

Once they make their way to the large monitor, Winter appears on the screen however she is not alone. Seeing who it was Dolan could see a huge smile on Penny's face indicating that she knew the person in question although to what degree he had no idea. To be honest, Dolan knew full well who the person was, but this would serve as their first interaction with each other considering that the person on the screen next to Winter was none other than "Pietro Polendina" also known as the most renowned scientist in all of Atlas. The man takes off his hat and nods his head to greet Dolan before speaking.

Pietro: Good evening Mr. Knight, I'm glad to finally make your acquaintance!

Dolan: Likewise, Professor Polendina I too am honored to meet the most honest man in all of Atlas.

Pietro: Hahaha, I appreciate your kind words my boy, but I'm not the saint you take me for! Besides, there are just as many good people here, you just need to know where to look. *ahem* Anyway back to the matter at hand. Please allow me to offer my sincere gratitude for locating my daughter. I do hope she hasn't caused you any issues.

Dolan: Nah she's been gre-... Hold up, did you say, daughter?

Pietro: Why yes, I did. She is my daughter, Penny Polendina!

Hearing this Dolan looks over to Penny with an inquisitive look which causes her to tilt her head wondering as to what was on his mind and why he was staring at her like that. Dolan then turns back to the monitor and looks over to Winter and points at Penny to get confirmation from her, to which she simply nods her head to ensure that what Pietro just said was indeed the truth.

Dolan: Huh... so you prefer gingers? Neat.

Winter: DOLAN!!!

Pietro: Well, I was young once too I suppose, HAHAHAHA!

Pietro lets out another burst of laughter from Dolan's comment before finally catching his breath and motioning Winter to calm down. Penny again was unsure what was so funny but considering how happy her father was it must have been something nice.

Dolan: Anyway, what's her mother like? Is she a beauty?

It was then that the smile on Pietro's face vanished and was replaced with a look similar to what Ozpin gives him just before something serious comes up.

Pietro: Penny... doesn't actually have a mother. And before you ask, no she's not adopted either. She is a "Gynoid" that is to say an android that I and a few other collogues worked on over the years. But make no mistake I don't see her as a tool or weapon like all those other robots in our military, she is my darling daughter first and foremost!

Dolan: Her Aura?

Winter: Allow me to explain Dolan. Penny is the first-ever gynoid capable of producing and maintaining her very own aura. Suffice to say that this is quite a feat considering if you were to compare her to the myriad of automatons forming the backbone of Atlas's fighting force.

Dolan: So then does this mean she can manifest a semblance?

Winter: Theoretically yes however she hasn't shown any indicators as of yet so it's still a bit early to tell.

Dolan: I see, well that sort of explains why the aura flow in her body seemed so compact! It's because the circuits pump the aura to specific areas allowing her to then project the protective aura over her body!

Pietro: You are correct! Yes, as of right now her robot body still has issues circulating the aura as naturally as a regular human body, however, I'm hoping to fix that by upgrading her to a bioengineered frame rather than a mechanical one in the near future. That way she'd be indistinguishable from any other human girl.

Dolan: Well, whether its blood or... whatever it is coursing through her? If she's got a soul, then as far as I'm concerned, she's as real as you and me!

Pietro: ...! Thank you, my boy. That means a lot coming from you. Truly Satella raised you right.

Hearing his master's name leave his lips took Dolan by surprise. Never once did his master/mother ever mention being on friendly terms with someone of Pietro's caliber. Then again, she did have close ties with Winter's grandfather way back when he was still alive and kicking so perhaps this was to be expected. But this new revelation only made Dolan question more into the process of Penny's birth now that he knew Pietro and Satella were acquaintances. Unfortunately, before he could question him as to how he knows her a loud chime diverts Pietro's attention.

Pietro: Is it that time already?

Winter: It would appear so. I'm sorry Dolan but I must escort Dr. Polendina to a board meeting. Rest assured we'll pick this up at a later date. Until then I must ask that you look after Penny in the meantime.

Dolan: It's no big. It just means I can add this to your bill~

Winter: !!!

Pietro: Bill? What's he talking about?

Winter: "It's NOTHING, just a running joke between us is all". She says turning red.

Winter: *ahem* In any event we must take our leave. Penny, please be on your best behavior.

Penny: Understood.

Winter: And Dolan you be on your best behavior as well when with Penny!

Dolan: Over course! (No promises~)

Pietro: Well then, we'll be on our way. Take care, my dear.

As they waved each other goodbye the signal ended and the monitor returns to its normal screen. Regrettably, Dolan didn't get to ask him any questions pertaining to Satella but he was sure he'll have his chance at a later date. For now...

Dolan: I'll go prepare one of the guest rooms for you to sleep in... assuming you are able to sleep right?

Penny: Indeed, I do possess a sleep mode prepared!

Dolan: Well, alrighty then.

-Meanwhile at Beacon-

Team RWBY is back at Beacon after losing track of the Faunus boy and is back in their dorm room however things weren't going well at the moment. Ruby and her sister Yang are sitting quietly watching as their two teammates Weiss and Blake are still arguing with each other after what transpired earlier.

Weiss: I don't understand why this is causing such a problem!

Blake: That is the problem!

Weiss: You realize you're defending an organization that hates humanity, don't you!? The Faunus of the White Fang are pure evil!

Blake: There's no such thing as pure evil! Why do you think they hate humanity so much? It's because of people like Cardin, people like you that force the White Fang to take such drastic measures!

Weiss: People like me?

Blake: YOUR DISCRIMINATOR!

Weiss: I'M A VICTIM!

A momentary pause of silence fills the room before they are back at it again. As the argument continues to escalate, Weiss explains why she despises and has issues trusting the Faunus of the White Fang which all comes to a boiling point towards the end of what she thinks of them.

Weiss: YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I DESPISE THE WHITE FANG!!? It's because they're a bunch of LIARS, THIEVES, AND MURDERERS!!!

Blake: WELL MAYBE WE WERE JUST TIRED OF BEING PUSHED AROUND!!!

Weiss takes a step back to process what Blake just said while at the same time Blake realizing she had just revealed her secret bolts out of the room at top speed before Ruby has a chance to stop her. As she keeps running Blake finally comes to a stop when she reaches the statue at the entrance to Beacon academy. Taking a moment, she contemplates what to do next now that she knows it would be foolish to stick around any longer. As she takes off the bow concealing her cat ears...

???: I knew you would look better without the bow!

Turning around she sees the blonde Faunus who they'd been chasing earlier that afternoon with a warm smile on his face.
