Catch Vicky's eye as she walks away

You step back out into the lead position, turning your back to the shivering group as you face the downward trail. The freezing summit wind whips at your face, but your core is still burning with the residual heat of the highly explicit adjustments. You sling your leather pack over your shoulders and signal for the descent.

“Alright, let’s keep moving,” you announce, your deep voice carrying a firm, grounded authority over the howling peak wind. “The temperature drops fast if you stay still up here. After the sun goes down. Keep a steady pace.”

The women quickly bundle back into their heavy outerwear, zipping up their fleece jackets and windbreakers to shield their highly sensitized skin from the alpine chill. You lead the single-file line back down the steep, rocky ridge, heading toward the relative safety of the subalpine fir timberline.

Vicky positions herself directly behind you, her movements sharp, rigid, and aggressively controlled. The silence between you is heavy, thick with the memory of her hand being **** down onto your throbbing erection. You can hear her structured, technical boots crunching fiercely into the dirt right on your heels, her breathing tight and shallow.

Once the trail winds deep enough into the thick pines to block out the roaring summit wind, the forest falls into a quiet, muffled stillness. Recognizing your chance, you slow your pace slightly, letting Lauren, Heather, and Maya drift a few paces back under Dana’s watchful supervision.

You glance back over your shoulder, dropping your voice to a low, quiet murmur meant strictly for Vicky’s ears.

“Vicky,” you say, keeping your eyes fixed on the rugged path ahead as you navigate a steep bend. “Look, I had absolutely no idea what Dana was planning when she called me into that circle. I didn’t mean to compromise your boundaries, and I certainly didn’t intend for things to escalate like that.”

Vicky freezes for a fraction of a second, her technical boot skidding slightly on a loose patch of shale before she regains her perfect, rigid alignment. When she speaks, her voice is a fierce, razor-sharp whisper that cuts through the quiet woods.

“Don’t flatter yourself, Mark,” Vicky snaps, her jaw clenching so hard the muscle visibly twitches beneath her skin. “This has nothing to do with you. This is about Dana.”

She takes a sharp, aggressive step closer to your back, her corporate detachment fracturing to reveal a deep, burning undercurrent of competitive fury. “She’s terrified of me. She sees my business plan, she sees my drive, and she knows exactly what I’m going to do. She is absolutely scared that I am going to open my franchise, scale it, and put her and every other fun-loving, crystal-clutching hippie out of business.”

She lets out a cold, breathless laugh, “That entire little stunt up there? That wasn’t a lesson. That was a ****, pathetic attempt to break my composure because she knows her time is up. But it didn’t work. I am going to master her little curriculum, buy the market, and leave her studio in the dust.”

Behind you, the distant, carefree giggling of Maya and the quiet, comforting chatter between Lauren and Heather echoes through the trees, completely oblivious to the bitter, highly charged corporate warfare brewing at the front of the line.
