Cassidy is harassed

‘SLAP’

Both Mark and Natalie turned just in time to see Cassidy slap a different member of the football team right in the face. Mark recognised him straight away as Dixon, the same guy that tried to make a statement at training when he put Mark into the ground.

“Don’t you fucking dare touch my tits!!” she yelled at him, suddenly making a scene with the people around them.

Dixon looked around to see that plenty of the guys and even the girls in attendance were looking right at them to see what happened. Denying it quickly, he lied to her, “I didn’t do shit you little skank.”

As soon as those words came out of his mouth, Mark was quickly out of his chair to sort this out. “Back off Dixon! Cassidy wouldn’t lie about something like that,” he said, feeling responsible for his friend since he was the one who invited her. Natalie quickly got up too, standing close to Mark.

“Oh fuck off you hack,” Dixon replied, getting right up in his face.

Mark didn’t back down at all, puffing his chest out. Maybe it was the added confidence from his performance in the match just earlier but Mark wasn’t afraid of this guy. He wasn’t tall, quite short actually, just stocky, plenty of muscle. His brown coloured mullet was not a great look for him.

They stared each other down for what felt longer than what it actually was. It could have very easily gotten physical very quickly but as Bryce came in, telling everyone to give them some space, everyone knew that nothing would happen under his watch.

“Alright, alright, nothing to see here,” Bryce said, making his way through the crowd to get to his two teammates. He put a hand on the shoulder of each of them, “Come on boys, we’re all brothers here,” he told them both.

“I’m not his fucking brother,” Dixon said immediately.

“You’re right, you’re not, you’re just a shit person who likes to sexually **** girls,” Mark went back at him. Dixon responded by laughing in his face.

“Sexually ****? Oh yeah right dude,” he said, shaking his head in laughter.

Bryce knowing that this may get worse, pushed Dixon lightly to get him away. He then took Mark by the shoulder and led him slightly away from their spot to talk to him in person.

“Look I didn’t see what happened here but let’s just move on from this. You should be here celebrating man, don’t worry about him,” Bryce said, thinking he was doing the right thing, yet he was missing Mark’s point.

Mark tried to explain to him but Bryce didn’t want to hear about it right now, he had some blonde girl to get back to. It was a little eye opening, more so about the culture that was brewing here. Mark loved a bit of sexual attention from a girl as much as anyone but this is something he wouldn’t forget about.

“Come on girls, let’s get out of here,” he said to both Cassidy and Natalie, wanting to get Cas away from Dixon as quick as possible.

They all exited the storage shed together, heading back to East Hall.
