Chapter 9 by jj0445 jj0445

What's next?

Carried Away

The bass pounds harder the longer you stay wrapped up in Kenzie.

Not literally.

Not yet.

But fuck.

It starts feeling close.

Because once Kenzie realizes you can actually keep up with her energy, something changes almost immediately.

She gets worse.

Or better.

Depending on how you look at it.

Kenzie keeps pressing herself backward against you underneath the flashing lights while your hands stay firm against her waist. The tiny denim shorts somehow ride even higher every few songs while the black tube top clings tightly around sweaty skin and soft cleavage underneath the neon lights.

And unlike earlier?

She stops pretending the contact is accidental now.

Every movement becomes intentional.

Loose.

Reckless.

Physical in a completely natural way.

The next bass drop hits hard enough to shake through your chest while Kenzie laughs loudly and throws herself backward against you again.

This time harder.

Your grip tightens instinctively against her waist while her ass presses firmly against your crotch underneath the flashing lights.

And instead of pulling away afterward?

Kenzie stays there.

Grinding her ass slowly against your crotch with the beat while her messy blonde hair brushes lightly against your jaw every few seconds.

Jesus Christ.

The crowd around both of you keeps moving chaotically in every direction while the entire dance floor blurs together underneath blue and pink lighting.

Nobody’s watching you specifically.

Nobody’s circling around.

That’s what somehow makes this feel even crazier.

The two of you just become part of the chaos together.

Bodies everywhere.

Girls dancing on each other nearby.

Drinks spilling.

People screaming lyrics toward the ceiling while the bass pounds through the floor hard enough to drown out actual thinking.

And right in the middle of all of it?

Kenzie keeps grinding her ass backward against your crotch like she physically cannot stop moving.

“You’re ACTUALLY keeping up,” Kenzie yells laughing over the music while glancing back at you.

“You sound surprised,” you answer.

“I thought you’d tap out already.”

Kenzie laughs harder immediately after saying it before grinding her ass harder against your crotch underneath the bass.

And fuck.

The confidence somehow makes her even hotter.

Your hands stay firm against her waist while she keeps moving against you underneath the flashing lights. The tiny shorts barely cover anything anymore, the bottoms of her ass cheeks constantly visible every time she throws her hips backward harder into the music.

Kenzie never fixes them.

Never checks.

Never cares.

If anything?

The longer she dances with you, the more reckless she gets.

Meanwhile somewhere beside you, Rob has become fully locked onto Lexi.

Which honestly?

Was inevitable.

The problem is that Lexi physically refuses to stay attached to one person for more than five seconds.

One second she’s dancing against Ava laughing hysterically.

The next she’s throwing herself against Maya while nearly spilling her drink again.

Then immediately spinning into another random group nearby because somebody screamed the right lyric loud enough.

“She is EVERYWHERE,” Rob says dramatically while trying to follow her through the chaos.

“She’s like a drunk hummingbird,” Chris replies.

“I need her carnally.”

“You need therapy.”

Meanwhile Lexi remains completely oblivious to how down bad Rob already is.

Not because she’s avoiding him.

If anything, she keeps grabbing him constantly.

Pulling him into group dances.

Laughing directly into his face.

Dragging him around by the wrist every few songs.

But every time he thinks he’s finally about to get his moment—

she immediately gets distracted again.

At one point Rob finally manages to end up directly behind Lexi while everybody jumps together underneath the bass.

His entire face lights up instantly.

“Oh my GOD,” Rob mutters emotionally.

Then Lexi immediately spins away to dance on somebody else before he can even react.

“No!” Rob yells dramatically.

Kenzie nearly collapses laughing watching it happen.

“He keeps losing her,” Kenzie says while laughing breathlessly against you.

“She’s impossible to track.”

“That’s because she’s fighting demons right now.”

Lexi screams one line of lyrics nearby before disappearing into another section of the crowd again.

And somehow?

That becomes the recurring joke of the entire night.

Rob keeps almost getting his chance.

Then immediately losing it.

While all of that spirals around you, Kenzie suddenly bends fully forward underneath the flashing lights like she’s trying to touch her toes while still pressed against you.

And Jesus Christ.

The tiny denim shorts ride impossibly high across the soft curves of her ass while the bottoms of her cheeks show completely underneath the neon lighting.

Then she starts shaking her ass side-to-side against your crotch fast to the bass.

Not teasing.

Not careful.

Just completely throwing herself into the music while laughing breathlessly underneath the flashing lights.

Your brain almost short circuits immediately.

“Ohhhhh she LIKES him,” Lexi yells dramatically the second she notices.

Kenzie instantly bursts out laughing while still bent forward before flipping Lexi off without even turning around.

Still laughing.

Still grinding herself backward against you.

And honestly?

That somehow makes the entire thing feel even more addictive.

Because Kenzie doesn’t dance like she’s trying to seduce you.

She dances like she’s having fun.

And you just happen to be the person lucky enough to be attached to her right now.

The music transitions into another song while the energy somehow gets even more chaotic around the group.

Lexi nearly spills another drink laughing.

Rob looks completely gone already.

Maya keeps laughing every time somebody crashes into Chris.

And meanwhile Ava and Tony somehow keep drifting near each other naturally in the crowd, exchanging small looks every few minutes underneath the flashing lights despite the fact nothing should actually happen there.

But Kenzie keeps dragging your attention back immediately every single time.

Especially once she starts getting handsy.

Not sexually aggressive.

Just drunk.

Physical.

Comfortable.

At some point she grabs onto your forearm while dancing because the crowd shifts too hard around both of you.

Then she just…

doesn’t let go afterward.

The next song drops harder.

Kenzie screams loudly toward the ceiling before immediately throwing herself backward against you again underneath the flashing lights.

This time your bodies lock together more naturally.

More comfortably.

Your hands stay firm against her waist while she grinds her ass against your crotch with the rhythm, messy blonde hair sticking lightly against flushed cheeks while sweat glows across her skin underneath the neon lights.

And fuck.

The euphoric energy starts becoming contagious.

You stop thinking about how you look.

Stop thinking about the crowd.

Stop caring who’s around.

The entire dance floor becomes:

bass,

heat,

movement,

Kenzie laughing against you underneath flashing lights.

At one point she spins around suddenly until she’s facing you directly instead.

And somehow that feels even worse.

Her tube top clings tightly around her breasts while she moves closer against you underneath the music, soft cleavage catching underneath the lights every few seconds while both of her hands grab your shoulders for balance.

Then she starts dancing against you facing forward instead.

Bodies brushing.

Hips moving together naturally with the beat.

Kenzie laughing every few seconds because she’s clearly drunk enough now that everything feels funnier than it should.

“You’re FUN,” she says loudly over the music.

“You sound shocked again.”

“I am,” Kenzie replies honestly.

Then immediately bursts out laughing again after saying it.

The next bass drop hits.

Kenzie throws her head back.

And suddenly starts moving even harder.

Your hands slide lower instinctively against her hips while the crowd jumps around both of you underneath flashing lights.

The tiny shorts ride impossibly high now.

The bottom curves of her ass cheeks showing constantly whenever she turns or throws herself backward into the music again.

And somehow?

Kenzie still doesn’t care.

She keeps dancing like the music physically took over her body.

Like she’d keep going until sunrise if somebody let her.

The entire thing starts feeling less like flirting and more like getting swept into a disaster together.

A really hot disaster.

One song becomes another.

Then another.

The music never really stops.

Neither does Kenzie.

At one point Lexi physically grabs Kenzie’s shoulders laughing because she’s dancing too hard and nearly crashes into another group nearby.

Kenzie almost falls backward into you laughing hysterically while your hands catch her waist automatically.

“Oh my GODDD,” Lexi yells while dying laughing. “She’s actually gone.”

Kenzie can barely breathe from laughing at that point.

Then immediately starts dancing again anyway.

And honestly?

That’s what finally gets you.

Not even the shorts.

Not the cleavage.

Not the grinding.

It’s the fact Kenzie genuinely seems like she’s having the best night of her life.

And somehow you accidentally became part of it.

Then finally—

near the end of another song—

Lexi stumbles backward laughing directly into Rob underneath the flashing lights.

And this time?

She stays there.

Her ass presses directly against his crotch while she starts dancing backward against him naturally with the bass.

Rob freezes instantly.

Completely stunned.

Like his entire nervous system shuts down from finally getting what he wanted.

“Oh my GOD,” Chris says immediately after noticing.

“I won,” Rob says emotionally.

Lexi still barely seems aware of the effect she’s having while dancing against him laughing with Kenzie and Ava underneath the flashing lights.

Then—

almost immediately afterward—

the song starts transitioning slower.

Not fully stopping.

Just enough that the energy of the crowd shifts.

People stumble toward drinks.

Groups regroup.

Bodies separate slightly underneath the flashing lights while the next song starts building.

Kenzie finally slows down too.

Breathing hard.

Hair completely messy now.

Cheeks flushed bright pink underneath the neon lighting.

“Oh my GOD,” Kenzie says laughing breathlessly while grabbing onto Ava’s shoulder dramatically. “I’m actually dying.”

“That’s because you dance like you’re being possessed,” Maya replies.

Lexi immediately loses it laughing.

Kenzie flips her off again.

“We need drinks,” Kenzie announces dramatically to the group.

“YOU need water,” Ava corrects.

“Same thing.”

“It is literally not.”

Kenzie laughs loudly while the four girls start stumbling away from the center of the dance floor together still talking over each other underneath the music.

Lexi grabs Kenzie’s wrist pulling her toward the bar again while Ava and Maya follow behind them disappearing deeper into the crowd underneath the flashing lights.

They don’t stop.

Don’t flirt.

Don’t acknowledge the guys directly whatsoever.

Not because the energy wasn’t real.

If anything, the chemistry had been insane.

But to them?

This almost feels normal.

Just another reckless dance-floor spiral during a night out.

And just like that—

they’re gone.

The four of you drift naturally back off the dance floor together while the next song starts building again through the speakers.

Still sweating.

Still buzzing from adrenaline.

Still trying to process what the hell just happened.

“I think that’s it,” Chris says honestly.

Rob still stares toward the crowd where Lexi disappeared.

“She touched me,” he says quietly.

“She grinded on you for maybe nine seconds.”

“And I’ll never recover.”

Meanwhile Tony stays weirdly quiet beside all of you while glancing once toward the direction Ava disappeared.

And honestly?

That feels like a completely different problem waiting to happen later.

The second you step off the dance floor, everything feels weirdly quieter.

Not actually quiet.

Pulse is still loud as hell.

Bass still shakes through the walls.

People still scream every time the DJ transitions songs.

But after being buried in the middle of the crowd with Kenzie for almost an hour straight?

The edge of the club suddenly feels slower.

Cooler.

More real.

Your shirt sticks lightly against your back from sweat while all four of you push through groups of people toward the bar area again.

“Brother,” Rob says while staring blankly ahead. “I think I’m in love with that blonde.”

“You got grinded on for eight seconds,” Chris replies.

“Nine,” Rob corrects immediately.

“You counted?”

“I blacked out halfway through.”

The lights keep flashing across the dance floor while another song starts building louder underneath the crowd again.

And somewhere deeper inside Pulse—

Kenzie keeps laughing loudly enough that you can still hear her over the music.
