Chapter 17

What happens next?

Carrie tells you about her morning

“You already know what I did this morning,” you say to Carrie. “What did you get up to?”

“Not much,” she says. “It was quiet on the way to work as it was still pretty early. You can imagine that the studio was a mess when I got there with the flooding and we all pitched in to do what we could to clear the place, but we couldn’t run classes. Then we all went for a coffee to catch up.”

“And nothing else happened?” you ask.

“Well, with all that disruption my mind was pretty focused on the immediate problem. I did get to unwind a bit over coffee.” Carrie paused.

“Go on,” you say.

Carrie reddens a little. She continues, “We were all squeezed into a booth in the coffee shop, far too many of us for the space. We were chatting away when I began to feel a hand on my thigh under the table. Nothing too much, just a bit of stroking. It was Jamie, one of the other instructors.”

“What did you do?” you ask.

“I wasn’t sure what to do, so I did nothing and just let it happen. Nothing was said and when we finished our coffees we all just got up and left. I’m still not sure what to think of it. Then I headed back home and got in to find you masturbating for Kim over a video call.”

“More water?” said the waitress, now back at your table.

She had a pleasant smile on and you couldn’t tell whether she had been listening or what she might have heard.

“Yes please, Jane,” you say reading her name on the badge pinned to her tight t-shirt.

You’re sure you can see the outline of a pierced nipple through the thin cotton. Your gaze lingers a second too long.

“Apologies for my boyfriend,” says Carrie. “As you probably heard he’s easily distracted.”

Jane smiles again. “No worries,” she says. “Just call me over if there is anything else I can do to make you more comfortable.” She wanders off to look after another table. You’re sure she’s added a further swing to hips. I bet she thinks I’m watching her, you think because it’s true.

“You’d hit that if you got the chance wouldn’t you?” Carrie says to you.

You can’t disagree with her. “She’s just like you, my type, so yes. Probably not half as dirty minded and up for it as you though.”

Carrie looks at you. “You’d probably say the same of me if you saw me in the street. You never know though, that waitress might be even filthier than I am.”

Again you can’t disagree. “I guess that’s the problem, we don’t know what’s going on inside peoples’ minds. Though she looks far too innocent.”

You’re intrigued by where this is going. “How could we find out?” you ask.

“Toss the coin and if it’s heads I’ll find a way,” says Carrie.

Do you toss the coin?
