Chapter 6 by RedeemerofDark RedeemerofDark

How do things progress?

Carl the Clown

Suddenly, Carl feels incredibly relaxed. He doesn't understand what happened, but it's as if his outburst had felt good, but he was unused to being so emotional, resulting in him having tired himself out, even though he barely even moved. Leave it to the former scientist to mentally and emotionally tire himself out about hypotheticals and things he has no control over. As finally his age stops reversing, leaving him a solid eighteen years of age; first day, hour, and even down to the minute to be specific. He not only feels the best he had in his entire life but he feels the most...content in his entire life? Literally everything either has only positive emotions associated with it or none whatsoever. Carl feels like this is the proper, idealized reward for someone who has sacrificed so much, essentially feeling perfectly content and loving life, as if somehow even his PTSD and other trauma has been erased. The memories are still there, but they don't hold him back. If he didn't know any better, he'd think he somehow became the perfect human specimen out of nowhere, a thought that made him exhale air from his nose shakily because he was trying not to have another fit of laughter at such a ridiculous thought. Oh, if only ol' Carl knew the truth, as his skin continues to pale more and more, making it look like he had grown up underground, yet not appearing even remotely unhealthy. It was like perfectly smooth marble, as if he's a Greek statue that was granted life.

He decides to focus in and lose himself in the cartoon he is watching. After all, "Journey Universe" isn't going to watch itself! Carl barely suppresses a snicker as his skin stopped when it was so white it'd make a vampire blush, even though that'd be surely impossible. Then another moment comes on! It's a muscled girl that's some kind of humanoid star that seems to love to scream to punctuate their statements. Once again another laughing fit is coming when Finnen and Onyx get caught and the star woman said "ONE MILLION YEARS, HOMEWORLD!" as they were from another planet. Whoops, did I forget to mention that part? Well, whilst I'm forgetting details, I also didn't get to the part where Carl the clown practically threw himself into a snickering and snorting fit. When the character's are immediately shown on said home world of the star girl, uproarious laughter leaves Carl once more, even coughing a few times as his chest quickly begins to hurt. Each little thrum of pain slightly tightens his waist and slightly blows up the chest tissue that is soft and sitting where his pecs should be.

Then, as if someone was blowing up a balloon but was struggling to through their own laughter, random bouts of expansion go about this soft chest tissue. Random amounts surge at random times: a big one, then a small one, then a medium, then a tiny one, then a HUGE one. Faster then you can say, "damn those are some nice honkers. Do they make the same sound their namesake would imply?" The silly clown, Carl, now has actual balloon-sized chest orbs. Every puff of embiggening in his chest causes suction inward on his waist. Carl holds his breath trying to stop laughing, after the, let's be generous and say, fifth attempt, he finally calms down, his cheeks wet with tears as he wipes his blemishless and wrinkleless face with his hands. "Oh my dear god, I had another laughing fit, I don't think I even laughed this hard and this jovially even when I was a kid! How am I doing it now? Did I underestimate what my life is like now? Am I even healthier then I thought I was?" That's when Carl finally looks down, the pain of the laughing fit once again distracts him from his high vocal pitch. His eyes take in something that definitely shouldn't be there. "Ah." He says out loud. "Well...this is unexpected."

How does he take this relevation?
