Carefully watching

You stalk forward, you kill one of the spider things when it gets too close to find that killing them attracts more so you dash forward a little and they quickly stop chasing you. you explore the cave a bit before going forward finding a few pickups and discovering that you have an inventory (you get a sword, some basic clothes that you ignore because they look strange on you wearing only the boots you found) and hit the first checkpoint. around the checkpoint you find some basic newbie equipment (a healing item that refills when you touch the checkpoint called a flask, a shield, a club, a knife, and some crafting tools) you check out the crafting tools and find you can break down items, you break down the clothes you aren't using, the club, and the shield then make yourself a bandolier and a dapper bowler hat.

You press forward newly equipped finding a narrow path with caves branching off as the path moves toward the exit.
