Capture the poochyena

You pulled a pokeball out of your pocket, then threw it before the poochyena could attack again. The wild pokemon disappeared in a flash of light. The ball shook once, twice, three times, then clicked.

"Yes! My first capture." You pulled out your pokedex to find out about the new pokemon you had added to your team, while Ace climbed up onto your shoulder and peaked at the screen as well. You wondered if he could actually understand any of it or if he was just looking to see what you were looking at.

You nodded to yourself, that was about what you were expecting. You idly pat Ace on the head as you started walking down the path again. "I think I'll name her Champ." You decided, and used your pokedex to set the new name as you reached Oldale Town.

There wasn't really much to Oldale Town, just a few houses, a pokemart, and a pokecenter. You caught a glimpse of red disappearing down the north path out of town, and there was also a route to the west.

You stopped by the pokecenter since you were here anyways, and thought about your plans while Ace and Champ were being looked at by the nurses.
