Can I have your recipe?

“This thing is delicious, I need the recipe for my chefs,” he said, already half way through the Koopaland Choopa Special. You and your dad look at him in horror as he continues to tear into the plate of molten cheese, burnt meat, unknown material, and ten of the spiciest and/or sweetest peppers found in Koopaland. No one in your family has been able to eat more than a few bites before needing to go to infirmaries for help, other than Auntie Bowsette and her triplets.

“Oh! About time someone likes it, I don’t have it written down but I’ll give it to ya though I doubt your pathetic chefs will be able to match me in the kitchen,” Bowsette gloats with a smug look on her face and a proud hand on her chest. You and your dad deadpan as she starts to arrogantly promote her skills, again.

“Yeah, well please get that for me,” Hoofer says awkwardly before he goes back to eating the horrifying dish. Your dad is already calling up the oncall doctor/healer to come down to the game room just in case. You also gesture to Katara to be ready so that her waterbending healing could be used.

“Charles, why have you been hiding this dish from me?” Hoofer exclaimed after taking a swig of his scotch. He only had a small chunk of the ‘food’ left to go and he still hasn’t shown signs of illness. Hoofer was legitimately enjoying one of the worst of your Auntie Bowsette’s food.

“Normal people can’t stomach it,” your dad says numbly. “Are you sure you’re okay? No stomach pain?”

“Dammit Charles! I’m as healthy as a ponygirl!” He gloats happily, even flexing his arms. He chuckles a bit before saying, “I still have the ‘Lead Belly’ perk from our visit to that Fallout world.”

“Wasn’t that during test forty-five of the universe hopper?” Collins says, trying to remember the exact test number. “You never got that mutation fixed?!”

“We all got checked for mutations, why didn’t they reverse that!” Don shouts in concern.

“It wasn’t hurting me none, so they registered it and let me go on my way,” Hoofer proudly said before stuffing the final piece of the dish in his mouth and swallowing. “Now, I think I just won our bet.”

You stare at the older man with your mouth gapped. You blink as your brain rebooted while Doctor Joy finally arrived and started scanning Hoofer. The scans showed that the Koopaland Choopa Special was having no negative effects on the older man.

“Well, I guess a bet is a bet,” you say slowly while Doctor Joy patted my shoulder and left the room. “I fucked Diana a lot over the past few days, even having a couple of orgies.”

“Dammit, then that means the prototype mod is already triggered,” Hoofer grimaces as he thinks about the implications of what I said. “Though if you are betting her in the game then either it didn’t trigger right or you are just that confident you won't lose her.”

“I might have a few tricks up my sleeves,” you say trying to keep a happy face, you never liked losing a bet.

“I would love to have you and Diana in my lab,” Hoofer said as he looked between Diana and you in consideration.

“Not likely,” you comment.

“We’ll see about that,” Hoofer said as he put the plate to the side and picked up his cards. “Now whose turn is it?”

“I think it was yours.” Hoofer nodded and put in a sufficient bet. Now that the bet is settled you decide your next move.
