Ok, they gave him the slip. What'll they do now?
Camp in the woods outside town
When the coast was clear, the travellers jumped off the awning and into the road. They decided it would be best if they sleep outside town that night. Not long after going into the woods on the edge of town, they found a suitable clearing and made camp. Sagus started a fire, with some help from Sophie's various fuels. Rebecca went off to hunt for food and to find water.
"I'm so hungry. When do you think Rebecca will come back?"
"Soon, Marianne. I'm sure of it. Just wait a little longer, ok?"
"Ok, Sagus. I'll wait." All of them waited for nearly an hour before Rebecca returned with a fox. After eating her fill, Sophie decided to go through her supplies to see what she was short on.
"Uh...everyone? We're missing something."
"What?" Marianne asked.
"A tent. I don't know where, but we lost one. Which means..." She gulped nervously. "One of us will have to share a tent with Sagus, and the other two will have to sleep together. Only question is, who's sleeping with Sagus?" No one spoke. "No answer? Then I say I do. I only have enough chemiclas to make one tent solid enough to resist attacks, and I think it should be used on Marianne and Rebecca's tent, since they're least able to fight anyone off."
"Now wait a second!" Rebecca shouted. "I think I should be in the other tent! That way, if something does attack, while it's trying to get through the hard tent, I can kill it with my bow!"
"Well, um...maybe I should sleep with Sagus. IN HIS TENT, I MEAN!" The other girls looked at her.
"Why?"
"Well, because, um....because...." She smiled faintly. "Because you two can look out for each other, but I can't. So, Sagus will need to protect me." Her cheeks went slightly crimson at this. She didn't like to admit helplessness, but if it would get her closer to Sagus....
Sophie sighed. "Well, we're not going to resolve it this way. How about if Sagus decides?" All eyes turned to him, one set impatient, one set curious, and the other set pleading.
"Uh...I guess I choose..."
