Calming Down

Blake entered the waiting room and closed the door behind him. Lexi had stopped trying to speak and he let her go. She sat breathing heavily for a moment before looking at him. He could feel his blood boiling and he pressed his knuckles against the wall as if going to punch it. The rough paint grazed his skin, but with all the adrenaline coursing through his system, he couldn't feel it. He needed to do something to calm down.

'Fuck!' He swore loudly at the wall. It didn't help much.

Lexi watched as the Stallion rested his head against the wall. The yellowing paint job contrasted awfully against his rich, bay, fur. She was at a loss. She realised what she had done... again. Lost her temper, tried to attack someone. She knew she'd been lucky Blake was there, but right now, she wasn't sure how she could thank him.

She tentatively went over, reaching up placing a hand on his shoulder, 'Y'alright?' Blake grunted, his head still vertical against the wall. He was not okay. He was really not okay! As her eyes wandered down his back, she saw his shirt had torn leaving a nasty cut on his side. 'Blake, ya bleeding!'

The Stallion looked around but merely shrugged. He evidently couldn't feel it. Lexi lead him to a chair, and got to sit down. She didn't really know what she was going to do, she was no medic. Ideally, Dr Armeccitti would be an option, but she doubted she'd hear them out, if she could even get Blake in there. She prodded the wound and flinched forward,

'Ouch! What are you doing?' He pulled away from her, 'Just leave it, I'll speak to Armeccitti later.' He sighed frustratedly. 'You should get going, classes or something?'

Lexi shook her head, 'I ain't going. We still need ta talk.' She approached the subject delicately, not what to aggravate him further.

He glared at her, 'About what? About you losing your temper and attacking a student.'

'No, I-'

'Of course not. Let's talk about me and my hang ups.' He rolled his eyes, 'I don't want to have sex with you. There, we've talked. Move on.' He seethed.

Lexi caught herself, nearly firing back from her wounded ego. She composed herself as best she could, 'But why, I don't understand.'

'You wouldn't.' He spoke bitterly.

'Blake, what's wrong? I don't care about the whole sex thing, but it clearly isn't just that.' She went to hold his hand, but he moved it away.

'Don't lie to me. You do care about it. I know your type. I know you care.'

She sighed, he had seen through her lie. 'Ok, I do care, but I ain't gonna push it. If ya didn't want to sleep with me ya coulda just said.' She waited for his response.

‘Yeah, you gave me plenty of choice with that.’

Lexi was taken aback and mildly indignant, ‘Hey! Hold on one minute! What about you! The first time we met you made me suck you off! Do I not get a choice?’

Blake dropped her gaze, ‘That was different.’ He muttered.

‘Really? How so?’ She wasn’t dropping this.

Blake massaged his temples, ‘Because it was punishment… It is there for a reason, and you did choose, when you came here…’ He caught her eye, she realised he looked sad, ‘I’m sorry if you felt like that… Maybe sometimes I do, uh, enjoy myself too much, but it’s only because what I do is important… If I can make sure you follow the rules there is no reason to get you sent to the DO.’

She saw his eyes mist up slightly, and she felt a little bit guilty for pushing him. ‘Hey, no I didn’t mean that.’ She reached for his hand again and this time succeeded, ‘You know full well I enjoyed it,’ She grinned cheekily, but it faded quickly. ‘But the DO aren’t all that bad are they? I mean, I had a run in with Maple earlier. I mean the spanking hurt the first time but… Actually, she was a bit like you, she got all upset, said she’d been abusing her power…’

Blake gave her an odd look.

‘What?’

Blake shrugged, ‘Maple’s a bit strange at times, but a Discipline Officer really isn’t the DO. Just… Don’t get sent there, ok?’ He smiled and joked, ‘Let Maple give out her spankings.’

Lexi really wanted to push Blake on the DO aspect, but could to the Stallion was in no mood to discuss it.

She fidgeted with a button on her shirt for a bit before carefully broaching the subject again, ‘And what about me? I wanna know… I ain’t fragile either.’

Blake chuckled, ‘I know that much.’ He gave a heavy sigh, ‘I mean… Maybe I’m just old fashioned, but me and Daria… are something, maybe?’

Lexi smirked, ‘Yeah. Go on.’

Blake blushed, ‘It just wouldn’t feel right. I mean, I wasn’t even going to have sex with her… I-’

Lexi squeezed his hand, she felt relieved, ‘I get ya... But what if she said it was ok?’

He looked unsure. ‘I don’t know. Wouldn’t it be weird for either of us to ask though?’

Lexi’s smirk widened, and a glint appeared in her eye, ‘Yeah, ya probably right. It would be weird if you asked. But me, nah. I’ll ask her.’ She saw his expression morph to one of alarm. ‘Don’t worry I leave you out of it…’ He relaxed a little. ‘Hey,’ She frowned, ‘What about your punishment stuff though, ya do sexy stuff through that right?’

Blake spluttered, ‘I do not! Well, no sex. Ever. As a punishment, that is. Some other stuff maybe, blowjobs, spankings, the normal, but sex is different.’ He ran a hand down his mane, ‘I will talk to her about it…’

Lexi grinned mischievously, ‘So all ya sayin’ is I need to act act up to get that dick?’

He raised an eyebrow, ‘I’m not falling for that one, but please don’t try that.’ He thought for a moment, ‘I’d probably have to get Maple to sort you out. Conflict of interest and all.’

Lexi poked him, ‘Awww! C’mon, am I the only person not gettin’ any from ya?’

‘Lexi, please don’t do this again.’ He was sincere.

Her smile faded, ‘Blake I ain’t stupid, what is it?’ Something was hidden in those amber eyes of his, something eating at him.

He said nothing, standing up, and walking to the door of the wing. He paused, glancing at Lexi, before exiting through the doors.

She watched him leave, considering whether to follow him, but ultimately decided against it. Armeccitti wouldn’t appreciate her, no doubt. She glanced down at her phone, looks like she was running late...
