Call in the debugger.

Daphne awoke in a room like any other room. She was sitting on a couch like any other couch, looking at a man like any other man. The man was holding a slate and looking at her like gears

"No, no, that's enough of that." He had a light accent that she couldn't place. "Allow me to introduce myself. I'm the debugger." He reached out to shake her hand.

Taking it, Daphne asked "<null>".

"Oh, my mistake. One second." He tapped the slate.

She moved her speech. "Where am I?"

"Unimportant. Shirt." He unceremoniously pulled the light tank she was wearing up. She lifted her arms to allow him to maneuver it off of her. "Shorts."

She was undressing for this man. Why was she undressing for him? She had never met him before in her

"Undergarments." He reached his arms around her and unclasped her bra, allowing her breasts to swing freely. Daphne looked down and shimmied out of her panties.

"Up." She looked up and he did something that felt like raking several wires lightly from her chin to her navel.

"Open." He ran his finger through her open mouth, probing indelicately at her gums and cheeks.

"Spread." He inserted two fingers into her. As he slid them around, she reflected on the lack of stimulation. There was no sexuality to it.

"What are you doing to me?" Daphne finally stammered as he concluded. Without looking up from his slate, the debugger replied with a question. "What's the last thing you remember?"

"I was sitting in a restaurant and..." her eyes went blank and she trailed off.

The debugger examined the vacant nude woman before him. This was at least progress from the glitches. He tapped his slate again.

"Daphne, I'm sorry to say you have glitched. We need to inspect you to find the flaw before reintroducing you to your environment."

She was oddly calm. "Why am I so calm?"

The debugger replied uninterestedly. "We've put you into debugging mode. Nothing that happens to you right now will register as abnormal and you are incapable of panic and fear."

Interesting. "How do you intend to find the flaw?"

"The first thing we look for is syntax errors. The most common sign is a disruption of bodily integrity. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case here."

"Next we check for runtime errors. This is anything that causes you to suddenly stop functioning. This happened in the restaurant. In this case, I suspect that the root cause is the third type of error."

"The third and trickiest type is logic errors. These don't cause any sort of obvious disruption or breakdown but left unchecked they can create all sorts of long term instabilities in the system. Plus, they sometimes manifest in unexpected ways during normal operations."

Daphne was curious. "So I may have an error in me? And you think it's a logic error?"

The debugger was still glued to his slate. "You definitely have an error and it's definitely not a syntax error. Next we check for runtime."
