Calibrate I

"First, let's see if you know your lefts and rights! Tap your left ball lightly with your left hand."

I gave myself a tiny tap, but nothing happened in the game.

"Tap your left ball lightly with your left hand."

I tried a little harder and this time I felt just a hint of pain. Once again a small spike appeared in the line.

"Good job! Now tap your right ball lightly with your right hand."

I did the same on the right.

"Amazing! That wasn't so bad, right? Now let's learn about power! Do you give permission to turn on negative feedback for the duration of this tutorial?"

That's the exact thing I didn't want to do yet...

I clicked yes anyway. Under the line, a new button appeared: "Calibrate".

"When you press the button, the electrodes will give your balls a shock. The pain level of the shock is the amount of pain you should aim for. First shock yourself, then slap your balls with an equal amount of ****. Of course, this depends on the note, so we will have to repeat this three times."

Slowly my cursor moved to the button, my finger hovered over the mouse until I finally managed to click it. On screen, the girl held up a remote and pressed a big red button on it. Immediately an electric shock coursed through my balls. It hurt a little more than my earlier taps, the first real pain so far.

Okay, I can do that.

I gave myself another tap and the line moved a little. But not enough.

"Ah a little too soft. If the pain level is too low, the sensors might not pick it up, causing you to miss a note. If it is too hard, it may be confused for the medium note. Press the button again and give it another try!"

I have to keep shocking myself until I get this right?
