Cake Break

It is a while before another desk in the lobby opens up so I wander around for a bit before finding a break room. Looking around I see a few girls eating and having a bit of what looks like coffee... and a few of them playing together. Grabbing a cup of coffee and a small slice of cake I sit down at an empty table and look around. Most of the others look like NPC but a few seem different.

"You are going to give yourself away eating that" I look up and see a woman smiling at me. "Mind if I sit down," She asks, I nod as she pulls out the other chair and sits down. "The NPC do everything we do, they just do it better," she says. Pointing down at my cake she says "You like cake and want to enjoy it, so you took a big piece of it. They aren't allowed that, waste or resources to simulate real taste. They just know the correct response" The women says as she steals a bit of the frosting from my slice before I can defend it with my spoon.

Swallowing my bite I take a sip and study the woman across from me. She avatar is taller than mine and slimmer too, her ease of movement gives her away as a long time player. Her hair black hair is done up in a bun held in place with two pins. Her eyes pull attention away from her smiling face. Large green eyes that peer back at me almost with a laugh.

Holding out my hand her face brightens for a moment before shaking it.

"Maybe they just got better at programming the NPC," I say with a smile getting up to get back to work

"Oh your fucking good, none of them will catch on," She says with a genuine laugh.

The idea of someone catching onto something if I am not hiding bothers me for a moment before I discard the idea. Before I can get back to the lobby a girl intercepts me and points to one of the large conference rooms where a few girls are waiting outside. "You free we have a big party flush in cash and could use the help"

I smile and walk over
