CH3: White Knight

She has a white suit and black hair and stands in the direction we were supposed to go. I have never seen her.

She waves at us from behind cover and I let Vinora and Tatiana know. “Shit… does she want to shoot us?” Vinora asks and reloads. I take her place and keep the sniper busy. The sniper is Catherine, that silent girl with the short hair and she has some kind of big rifle. She shot me on the side. I must’ve had less than half a health point. It’s incredible I survived. That rifle is even more powerful and accurate than an **** rifle. She hit me so well from the top of the roof.

The girl in a white suit gets closer and shoots at the Recreationists with a rifle. She is also carrying a shotgun and a pistol and an SMG. It’s almost every gun I know that there is. And all of them have advanced modifications including extra sights, carrying sashes and magazine extensions and a lot of other things I can’t recognize.

“Hey! Who are you?!” Tatiana shouts and the girl looks at us quickly and kneels to reload. “Hey. Do you need help?” She shoots at the enemy and suddenly we have everything under control again. She is a very accurate shot and keeps constantly landing hits on even Catherine up on the roof. “We need to go! Lilah, she’s messed up!” Vinora shouts and the new girl looks at me. She has dark eyes which do not exactly instill a sense of sympathy I was expecting. “Yeah, follow me. I’ll hold them off.” She gets up and aims as she walks back and keeps somehow all three of the Recreationists at bay as we run to where she came from.

I see Calliope look at us surprised and maybe even a little terrified. It feels good to see that. We follow our new friend to a building to the side of the main school building. It’s an old building with blocked windows but there is a purple level 3 access lock on the door and the new girl opens it for us and we go inside. She comes in last and shuts the door. I am a little surprised to see that she’s level 3. Not even Tatiana is that level. I look at the girl who is looking down and crossing her arms. She has a neat haircut and a slim build. She seems thoughtful, almost like she’s going to say something.

“Who are you? Huh?” Tatiana walks up to her and she mutters something: “My name is Arleth. I’m uhh… solo.” She explains and Tatiana doesn’t seem convinced and I can see Vinora also not being as she paces back and forth. “How? I saw you open that door. What level are you?” Tatiana takes the girl’s hand and looks. “Wait…what?” She looks at her dumbfounded and the girl looks up with her empty eyes: “It’s not your business.”

“Well, what was it, Tati?” Vinora asks and she shows five fingers and now I can’t believe it. I have eliminated two players and opened more boxes than I can remember and I am only level 4 still. Granted close to 5, but still. Something doesn’t seem right.

“What’s this place?” Tatiana asks and the girl looks very bothered and sighs: “It’s the old school building… I’ve been here. Ok? There was a bunch of boxes. Those give you EXP.” She mutters and I still can’t believe it. The building really isn’t that big. There’s the hall we are at now, some raggedy stairs up to an office and one classroom to the side and bathrooms on the other side. And there’s just a couple boxes around.

As we look around the old rattly intercom of the building announces: “An hour remains of the night. When the time runs out, the game is done for the night and players will be sedated. Remain seated or in a lying position when this happens for minimal chance of potential injury, thank you.” We have to act fast. I have a feeling we got a second wind, but I still can’t catch my breath.
