CH Day 9 - Invite her

"Come with us then," you say.

Citra looks shocked.

"It will be dangerous," you warn.

"OK. It's better than my other plans," she says.

Mission accomplished. You go back and meet Chloe for lunch. You like the exotic outdoor restaurants in these place. It's old fashioned, but interesting. You also like the hot weather, but you miss the good life... even at soccer camp all the buildings were air conditioned.

Soccer, huh? You think about that wistfully...

"Wake up," Chloe says.

"I'm awake," you tell her. "I invited the girl to come with us."

Chloe balks. "Seriously?"

"Why not? The date is now cancelled," you say.

"Yes, but we need her date to lead us. So now her date and her will be together. Fuck it, whatever. We'll give it a try," Chloe says. "But if we have to listen to them argue the whole time, I'll shoot one of them."

It's fine. Having another local along will be good. Chloe has been to lots of places and lots of jungles, but never to this one. You need all the help you can get on this weird island.

Back in the room, Chloe gets out the equipment. Your jungle clothes, supplies and backpacks to carry them, first aid stuff, knives, hatchets, machetes, and your weapons. You and Chloe will each carry a small Glock pistol and an AK-9 into the jungle. At first you doubted Chloe when she said you needed these things, but it turns out that she gets shot at a lot.

You get your stuff together and go to meet up with the guide and Citra. The guide looks pissed that she is there instead of going on a date with him. He's a skinny white guy named Jason. He has some tattoos, but seems pretty normal. He's American though, so that's nice that he speaks English and stuff.

Even though he's mad, he does his job and leads you into the jungle.

"Still can't believe you invited her," Chloe mutters to you as you slog past the vines and under the trees. The jungle is very hot and wet. "I thought you'd just fuck her until she passed out so she'd miss the date."

"I would never cheat on you," you say.

Chloe makes a snorting noise and chops vines out of the way with her machete.

"Dr. Jones is probably trying to return it to the Torappu Tribe," Jason says as he leads the way. "So I'll lead you to where they are."

"Are they dangerous?" you ask.

"They are not the dangerous ones, but you have to be careful when it's time for their festivals," Jason warns.

"Not dangerous, huh?" Chloe says, looking up.

You all look up and see the dead body hanging from the trees. It's a mess, so you can't tell who it is or how they died, but... it's pretty dark and scary.

You hear sudden noises and see Jason running off back the way you came. He got scared! Shit. Now you have no guide.

"Umm..." Citra says worriedly. "I can't go back without a guide. I'd get lost."

"Then you're stuck with us," Chloe says. "Because we aren't going back."

Well, when she puts it like that...

"It's a real adventure now," Citra says, looking happy about it.
