Byleth returns

It would have been so easy for Byleth to fall asleep, either purposefully or by accident. Just refrain from reaching out towards that shimmering presence in her mind. But go back she must, lest her window for changing fate slip away.

And so Byleth reached out and used her Divine Pulse, the world falling away as it shattered into various purple hues. Even with eyes closed she saw the world turn back, the dark of night giving way to the orange tinge of dusk. Byleth pushes even more, trying desperately to pry every last second she could. It was a timefall of sand, fighting against every last grain before-

She stood at her desk once again. It caught her every time, the feeling of reality snapping into place. Hours had passed, she had been taken by that man twice, yet here she still was, grading papers. Did she really come back or was it just a vision of future events?

Byleth remembered herself: This is no time for those sorts of questions - Kostas will be here any minute and she wouldn’t be caught off-guard again! She scanned the papers and it seemed as though she had barely started. This is good, she had more time than before. The real question now was how to avoid Kostas - where could she go and what could she do?
