"Fine," he said. "But no more blasting my damn home! Are we clear?"

"Yes, of course! We'll find something else to blow up!" Kazuma nodded frantically, all too eager to settle this amicably. He scurried over, his guard up, and slipped two wine bottles into the Dullahan's saddlebag. "...at least you don't have to live with the nut job responsible," he then joked weakly, hoping a bit of shared pain would establish just a bit more goodwill. "Not to mention two others who are nutjobs in their own way..."

"Oh I have my own nutjobs. The demon king's army is a large group of them, after all. I shall see how good this wine is, if it is satisfactory and I get some peace, then I shall consider this matter settled," he said.

Kazuma nodded, before he inquired, "If it's not too irksome for me to ask, how long until you are gone? Not that you aren't a breath of fresh air, compared to what I normally deal with, but your presence has made getting quests a chore."

"I have a job to do, I can't say how long that will take. Don't adventurers normally hunt monsters? You're upset I have been keeping monsters away?"

"I mean, on the surface, yeah, it sounds like a good thing, but it's also how we make our money," Kazuma answered with a shrug. "We can't do quests if all that's available are beasts that would wreck us instantly. It also keeps us from getting experience, meaning we stand no chance of growing strong enough to fight said monsters. We all have to start somewhere."

"So, your mad that you can't hunt weak monsters? Is there no other work for you to do? Your flawed economy is not my fault!" the Dullahan huffed.

Kazuma threw his hands up. "Hey, it's not my fault either, but we are living with the consequences here. So, for what it's worth, hope you get the job done quickly. Out of curiosity, what is it?"

The Dullahan huffed. "I'm military! You expect me to divulge such secrets because you gave me wine? Not happening."

"Meh, might have offered a small bit of help of it got you gone faster, but whatever," Kazuma shrugged.

"Well, I guess the matter is settled. Not that I think a chump that can't handle high powered monsters would be much help."

"Hey, I'm just a beginner, not a chump! I doubt you were as powerful as you are now at the start!" Kazuma huffed defensively as they parted ways.
