"That was fun, but now our lunch plans are ruined." Kate seemed disappointed. "Should we just go by the deli in our building?"

Laura shrugged. The food was mediocre but it was quick, easy, and was usually crowded - perfect for her plans. "Yeah, let's do the deli."

As they headed back to the office, Laura marveled at the things people were doing. People were fucking and sucking in the street with wild abandon. Not that they weren't before - it was very strange, seeing the same thing twice in five minutes and only realizing the second time how strange it was. Laura dodged a stream of piss coming from a man on the roof of a dry cleaner's.

"Hey Kate, what if we're not the only ones with this power?" she asked nonchalantly.

"What do you mean?" Kate replied, sidestepping a man going down on a woman on the patio of an upscale Italian eatery.

"Well, what if there are other people who are acting weird like this? We wouldn't be able to tell, right?" Laura studied her officemate's face intently, looking for any hint of suspicion.

Kate gave none. "You're right! If it works this way for us, it could work this way for anyone! Anyone we see could be doing something totally unacceptable and we'd have no way to tell." She looked pensive. "Someone could have had this their whole life and we'd never know. They could walk around doing anything they wanted!" She shuddered.

"Yeah but the good news is you'd never know it. For all you know, that guy-" she indicated a nude man hanging upside down from a tree, furiously masturbating while staring at them, "-might be doing something totally inappropriate."

"What a mindfuck." Kate waved to the man. "Hey, since he seems to appreciate us so much, why not give him a show?" She moved in to kiss Laura, who reciprocated and put both hands on her ass. Kate reached up and gave Laura's breasts a strong squeeze and they heard the man groan loudly. Laura broke the kiss and laughed at the sight of him frantically trying to brush his jism out of his scraggly beard.

"Good thing that's only hypothetical." Laura said. An idea came to her as they passed the sputtering man. "Hey, I wanna try something. Can you do something weird right now?"

Kate shrugged. She casually moved forward and pulled Laura's skirt down, leaving the woman clad in only her panties on the sidewalk. Laura looked down at her toned legs and back up at Kate. "Kate, that was weird."

Kate looked like she was struggling for a second, then seemed to make up her mind. "These mind games are frustrating, but I guess they come with the territory."

Now Laura was confused. "Mind games?"

Kate sighed. "Well, I know it's totally normal to hear you lie to my face like that. You said it was weird, but you can't even gauge what's weird and what's not, so you lied about it. As far as you know, it's perfectly normal."

"But it's not! I'm telling you it's not. It's a huge violation of privacy to just yank my skirt down in broad daylight."

"See, there it is again," Kate said. "You're claiming to find what I did weird but you can't find anything weird. So you're lying to me, but that's normal. Ugh, this is giving me a headache."

Laura mused on Kate's response while the shorter woman rubbed her temples. Apparently she was able to rationalize Laura's apparent knowledge of her abnormal behavior by telling herself that Laura was lying, then the normality thing kicked in and she thought that lying was normal. She wasn't sure whether to keep going and try to explain her new status to Kate or keep it a secret.
