By Trying to Relax at Restaurant

If New York City was known for one thing, it would be how busy it is. It gets the nickname The City That Never Sleeps for a reason, and that's because there's never not an hour where people are active. And that must be a special type of hell for anyone who works in the food service industry. The waiters having to serve hundreds of people in a day, the chefs having to cook hundreds of dishes in a day, and all that work for, at the end of the day, someone to probably complain in order to get a free meal. Restaurants were so busy in the city that most were almost entirely filled out during lunch. Even on a hot summer day, the outdoor eating areas would be packed.

At one restaurant in particular, things seemed to be about typically, but nothing stood out too much. Well, maybe besides the tall, purple-haired woman sitting outside at the outermost table, a good distance from the rest of the patrons. The purple-haired woman wore a black suit with a purple undershirt underneath. Purple sunglasses were adorned on her face but were currently lowered slightly in order for the woman to see the screen of her phone better. With one hand holding her cellular device, her other hand found itself pointlessly rapping its fingers against the surface of the table. She currently had her phone opened to Twitter and was staring at her own profile, @Gali_gurl, the Twitter account of the daughter of Galactus, Galacta.

As the sound of Galacta's purple nails tapping against the table, only to be drowned out by the sounds of the other patrons conversations, or the sound of traffic, or even just the city's normal ambience, Gali found herself mindlessly staring at her own profile, desiring to tweet something but her mind being far too preoccupied to focus on any words that came to her mind. Preoccupied with what exactly? Hunger, of course. The daughter of Galactus already had a large appetite normally, but now that she had to eat for two because of her unexpected pregnancy, her already difficult life became an even greater hell. There wasn't a single moment where she didn't feel like she was starving, and it wasn't as if she could go to a convenience store and grab something off the shelf to sedate her hunger. No, not only did she feel constant hunger, but her diet was also very particular. That being just like her father's, Galacta feeds on the life **** of other living things. And while she wasn't a world-eating monster like her father was, Galacta still had to find a way around this infuriating palate of hers. Originally, she'd eat other-worldly, world-destroying threats, such as a bunch of invaders from space, a bunch of serpents trying to destabilize the Earth's core, or a deadly alien disease. It was all weirdly more common than one might think, but after becoming pregnant, her hunger became even harder to manage. Gali valued all life on Earth, so feasting on something from here was a no-go. No matter how tempting.

Galcta mindlessly scrolled through Twitter, her purple eyes following the text at a rapid pace. Her pregnancy was utter hell; it felt like it was going on forever, like a thirteen-year-long limbo. As the Daughter of Galactus scrolled through her feed, a waitress finally approached her, a tray in hand. "Sorry for the wait; here's the mineral water that you ordered earlier." The waitress apologized as a formality before placing the glass of water on the empty table. "Now then, would you like to eat me?"

Galacta stopped scrolling and slowly turned her head to the waitress, "C-come again?" Gali asked, an immense amount of worry and confusion plastered on her face.

"Would you like to order anything else?" The waitress repeated, ever so slightly confused by the alarm on the woman she was serving's face.

"Ah, no. I'm good." Galacta waved the waitress away before wrapping her hand around the glass in front of her. Despite being at a restaurant, the cosmic being was not here to eat; the food they served her wouldn't do anything for her, the animals and plants were already dead by the time they were served at the table. The real reason Galacta had come here was to get some fresh air. Though that may have been a mistake since it was starting up again, she was beginning to hear things because of her hunger. Every living thing around her started to beg her to eat them. Hunger-based hallucinations. To sedate this hunger, Gali would have **** but to visit her father, who would feed her by giving her a portion of his immense cosmic energy. Though she didn't want to stay by her father's side for too long, she only visited semi-regularly, only when her hunger got to its worst point.

Everything around Galacta started to look appetizing. Gali's purple eyes focuses down on the table she sat at, her eyes narrowing down on the bacteria living on the table's surface. Even that seemed to beckoning her to devour them. Perhaps now would be a good point to pay her father a visit once more. Gali quickly chugged the glass of mineral water before standing up and grabbing her pocket book. While regular water didn't cost anything, mineral water did, so she was going to have to pay; Gali turned around and searched for the same waitress from earlier, her eye impatiently scanning the area around her. She wanted to wanted get out of here as quickly as possible- The sound of something splattering in front of her caught her attention.

Turning her attention back to the table in front of her, Galacta was more than confused when her eyes locked onto a slice of cake that was now smushed against her table. Residue from its frosting had spattered all over the place, even getting onto her suit. Where did it come from? Gali looked to her left; there were two women that seemed to be on a date, their eyes far too focused on each other to be bothered by whatever Galacta was doing. She then turned her head to the right, just down the street, filled with pedestrians walking on the sidewalk or a car passing by. Gali turned her head both ways once again, just to double check. There didn't seem to be an obvious culprit for who had thrown this cake at her...A cake that seemed rather appetizing. It was odd, but for some weird reason, Gali found herself salivating from just staring at the slice of desert. That shouldn't be the case, but it was; it looked complete and utterly delectable to her. And then Gali realized why that was the case—she could sense a life **** coming from the cake. The cake was alive.

A mixture of confusion and disgust filled Galcta's face for a second as she stared down at the smushed slice of cake before her attention was diverted away from that slice to another slice of cake, one that suddenly fell down right in front of her, splattering even more pink frosting on her suit and the table. "What?" Gali murmured as she craned her neck upward. She could see something; it was very far up, but if she squinted her eyes, she could make out something floating far up above. And then suddenly, it started to glow, a bright pink overtaking the blue sky.

People from down below looked up at the sight, the light above growing brighter by the second. A sweat drop raced down Gali's forehead; she didn't have a good feeling about this... And then the bright light that had encompassed the sky rained down upon the street below, beams of energy racing toward everyone that was in their path. People could only let out a fraction of a scream before being hit, and Galacta herself barely had enough time to raise her hand up and throw up a shield to protect herself from the rain of terror.

The once-busy and loud city street was now completely silent; the life that had once filled it was now absent. Where there had once been people on the street and in the buildings on it, were now replaced with all types of confections. There wasn't single living things present in the area, except for one woman who floated slowly down to the ground. With skin as pink as bubblegum and long hair as white as a cloud, it was very clear that this woman was not human by her tail, sharp teeth, and her eye, which had black sclera and red irises. She wore baggy white parachute pants with a golden belt around her waist, a black strapless crop top, black sleeves that were unconnected to her and reached all the way to her hands, and bangles around her wrists and ankles. The woman landed on the seemingly empty street, the heels of her shoes clicking against the asphalt. The red eyes scoured the street, looking at the delectable confections that had once been human or animal. Her eye then locked onto one of them, a pink macaroon resting next to a streetlamp. A sadistic smirk crept on her face as she pointed her right arm forward, all her fingers closed except her index finger, and, almost as if she had locked onto the macaroon, she bent her index finger toward her.

The macaroon levitated off the ground and flew straight toward the pink woman, who took hold of it as soon as it was in her range. The woman licked her lips. "Don't you look scrumptious?" She teased, opening her maw up to place the macaroon inside her gluttonous mouth. This was similar to two other threats that had plagued Earth before; appearance and actionwise, she matched that of the wild and unstoppable Majin Buu, but in terms of origin, she matched that of the tenacious and vicious Cell. She was Android 21, one of Dr. Gero's final creations before his ****. Modeled after his dead wife, Android 21 was similar to Cell in that they were both created by the mad scientist and that they were the cumulation of the DNA of the world's strongest fighters.

21 placed the macaroon into her mouth and closed it, but before she could begin to chew on it, she'd be interrupted by someone speaking up. "You know that's a still-living person you're about to chow down on, right?" a feminine voice called out from behind.

21 turned around to face the person who had interrupted her, savouring her treat. Red eyes met with purple as she now stared at a woman dressed all purple. Wearing a short strapless purple and black dress that exposed her thighs and shoulders, thigh-high purple boots, and this ridiculously big, four-pronged helmet. It was Galacta, who had transmuted her previous outfit into her hero costume... Which just so happened to be reminiscent of the outfit her father wore. Unlike everyone else on the street who had been turned into sweets, Galacta was able to defend herself; it wasn't just thanks to her barrier; had it been weak enough, the beam would've gone right through it. She would suppose she would have to be thankful for the immense power she had inherited.

Despite having been taken aback for a moment by there still being another living creature in the area, Android 21 went straight back to her original plan, chewing the macaroon in her mouth with delight, ignoring the disgust on Galacta's face. Eventually, having swallowed, the android turned her full attention toward the cosmic being. "What a surprise! There's still someone left!" She taunted with sadistic enjoyment, her smile increasing the more she eyed Gali up and down. 21 could sense the energy radiating from the purple woman's body; it was unfathomable; it was mouth-watering. If she were to eat her, then perhaps she'd have the strength to even match the likes of a destroyer god. "I thought there were only appetizers around here, but it seems there's a full course!" Android 21 shouted, pointing a finger toward the hero. From the tip of her finger, a narrow beam of ki shoots out of it, firing straight toward Galacta.
