Chapter 125 by Mr Nice Guy Mr Nice Guy

What's next?

Busy for a While

"Nancy!" Vanessa called to her daughter from the living room, "Can you come down for a minute?"

The sound of footsteps from above told Vanessa that her daughter was on the move. Good. She needed to talk things out. All day she'd been worried about Tim. Why had he disappeared like he did? Not that it was her place to question his comings and goings, but she couldn't deny her feelings for the young man, and his to pretend that his vanishing hadn't upset her would be a lie.

"Yes, mom?" Nancy stuck her head into the room.

"Have you heard anything?"

"Still nothing," Nancy said in a sad voice, "Nothing from the others, either. I just don't understand it."

"He's not prone to disappearing like this, is he?" Vanessa asked. Her daughter had known Tim a lot longer than she, and might have insight.

"Well..." Nancy began, thinking through her answer, "He can get a little excited when he meets a new woman, get a little focussed on her. It's the school thing that I don't get. Tim never misses class. Like, he'd have to be really sick to miss a day."

"That is concerning," Vanessa stood up from the couch and began to pace the way she did when she was stressed, "I wonder if I should call someone."

"I've texted, you've texted, everyone's texted," Nancy said, "Even Tim's mom hasn't heard anything, and I figured if anyone had, it would have been her. They're, like, really tight."

"As they should be," Vanessa said, offhandedly, "Do you think he's in trouble?"

"Mom, come on," Nancy said, tucking her long, blond hair behind her ears, trying to sound optomistic, "It's Tim. What kind of trouble could he get into? Besides, you know what he's like. Everyone loves him. I bet he made a deal with his professors to do extra work so that he could hook up with some supermodel."

"Did Rhian say anything about that?"

"No," Nancy's voice got quiet as she thought it through, "I guess she would know. Shit. I hope he's okay."

A part of Vanessa wanted to freak out, start calling the police, start patrolling the streets, but something told her to wait. Tim was her man, and she respected him. If he needed to disappear for a while, she needed to trust that he knew what he was doing. Sure, if he didn't turn up in a few days, then she could freak out, but her place was to support him in any way she could.

She remembered how simple things had been before she knew Tim, before she'd allowed him into her life. The only things Vanessa had to worry about were cash-flow, business development, and, of course, Nancy. But having a man like Tim in her life changed everything. He wasn't the kind of guy you just dated casually. No, he deserved so much more than that. He was strong, a leader, the kind of man that Vanessa had thought had gone the way of the dodo bird. If she didn't love her career so much, she could see easily slipping into the role of a tradtional homemaker for Tim, doting on him, waiting on him, pleasing him. It was too late for Vanessa, but perhaps Nancy would be interested...

Her phone chimed, snapping her out of her thoughts.

It was Tim.

"It's him!" Nancy squealed, waving her phone in the air, scurrying into the room.

The pair stood next to each other comparing texts. The first two were identical.

Everything's okay. Sorry I didn't message earlier. Be back tomorrow.

Then...

I miss you.

"Oh thank God," Vanessa breathed, her shoulders already beginning to lose their tension. Yes the texts were identical, but to Vanessa they seemed to be so personal, speaking right through her anxiety, straight to her heart. He missed her! Oh and she missed him, too. If only he were there, she would show him how much she miised him.

A chime from her phone brought her back to the moment.

Maybe you and I should go for another 'drink' when I get back. I like where it took us last time.

Vanessa looked up, sure her cheeks were bright red, only to see Nancy staring at her phone wide-eyed, her own cheeks blushing furiously.

Another chime.

Hope this can tide you over until I get back.

Then a series of three pictures, one of Tim's handsome face in a classic 'duck face' selfie, one of him standing in front of the mirror, showing off his sexy red nightie, and the next one...

Oh the next one...

A close up of Tim's beautiful penis, fully erect.

"Oh my," Vanessa said.

Nancy's phone, too, was beeping away, as the same images arrived over the airways. Vanessa watched her daughter as the red on her cheeks spread to encompass her entire face. Her lips couldn't stop a smile from forming as she knew that her man would be back, that he'd take care of them, and that he was thinking of them. Scrolling through the three images, back and forth, back and forth, she counted her blessings. How amazing was it that, at her stage in life, she should end up with someone like Tim? And how amazing was it that she could share him with her daughter? In so many ways, this was a dream come true. Gone were worries of where Tim was. He was Tim! He had it under control, and he be back soon. More than that, he missed her! Soon everything would be right again.

"Mom, I'm, uh, going to go upstairs and... um..." Nancy said. Vanessa could see that she had the picture of Tim's erection open on her screen.

"Not a bad idea, sweetie," Vanessa said, "If you need me, I'll be in my room. Maybe give me a bit, though."

"Don't worry," Vanessa's daughter responded, knowing smile on her face, "I'll be busy for a while."
