Leah didn't feel like entertaining Mr. Howard this afternoon. Besides Jonathan was expecting her home. He was getting off early.
Leah sent Mr. Howard a quick email that just said "Sorry, busy." After she had clicked send she knew it would probably mean Mr. Howard wouldn't be pleased but she could at least look into Jonathan's eyes that afternoon with a loving smile.
