What happens next?

Buffy tries to escape

"Well, that didn't work out too well," said Buffy as she lay naked on the floor of her hospital room.

She waited for the doctor to come back but after a long while, it became obvious that the good doctor was not coming back. Nor did any nurse appear to assist her.

"If I'm going to get out of here," she said, "I'm going to have to crawl out of here."

But I'm naked, she thought.

Nevertheless, she could not stay here. Sooner or later someone would come by and secure her to her bed again -- and she did not intend to be there when it happened.

So she raised up her arms and started using them to pull her body forward, trying to ignore the fact that she had such a long way to go. And she could picture every person in the place, whether crazy or sane, laughing at her all along the way.
