Buffy-in-Faith makes a fuss

One week later:

"Damn it, Willow," said Buffy-in-Faith. "You too?!"

"Hey, that painting was done by a friend of mine. It would be inconsiderate of me to just stick it in a closet somewhere."

"Yes, but did you really have to buy it in the first place? I thought you were my friend."

Willow blushed. "I am your friend. Besides, er, Tara picked it out."

"Tara?" asked Buffy.

"She's human too."

"I don't care if she's human," said Buffy-in-Faith. "That is so not the point. The point is you two should be supporting me by not buying naked paintings of me."

"Well, technically, they're not naked paintings of you. They're naked paintings of Faith."

"Which she posed for while she was in my body," said Buffy-in-Faith. "I thought she was going to be more discreet."

"Well, you know Faith's idea of discreet..."

"Yes, I do," said Buffy-in-Faith. "And I'm pretty sure this violates the truce."

"So you want to call the Watcher Council on her?"

"No, that would do no good," said Buffy-in-Faith. "But that has got to be some way to make her stop."

"Well, come to think of it, she has gotten kind of a swelled head ever since she stopped all those vampires from killing the people in that church the other day."

"That's different. That's what she's supposed to do. Though why she had to fight them naked, I'll never know."

"Don't worry, Buffy," said Willow. "It will blow over soon. I'm sure of it. You know how impatient Faith can be. Sooner or later she's going to get tired of this game and she's going to start begging you to switch back."

"But how long will that take?" asked Buffy. "I mean -- hey, wait a minute. I thought you said the spell was irreversible."

"Did I? Well, maybe I was wrong."

"Maybe?"

"Perhaps?"

"Perhaps, Willow?" asked Buffy-in-Faith.

"Are you a parrot, Buffy?"

"No," said Buffy-in-Faith. "But I get the feeling that you know something you're not telling me."

"Why would I not tell you?" asked Willow. "You're my best friend. Anyway, you should really be proud of how you look in that painting, Buffy. My artist friend really managed to capture the sparkle in your eyes."

"It's not the way she painted my eyes that worries me, Willow."

"Oh, right. Well, your shoulders look pretty nice too."

"Willow!"

"And of course, all that stuff below your shoulders. You should pose for paintings a lot more often."

"I wouldn't mind doing that," said Buffy-in-Faith, "if I had my clothes on."

"But you do have clothes on," said Willow.

"You know what I mean, Willow."

"Anyway, the worst damage has been done, Buffy. There's nothing you can do about it now."

"Is there?" asked Buffy-in-Faith. "I wonder."
