Bryce is not in the game

Sal Sunseri, the outside linebackers coach, takes you aside. "Boy, are you ready?" he asks you, grabbing you by the pad. "Yes, Coache!" He points to the field. "Richard can't stop his thigh end, and Bryce is kind of out of the game." You nod and focus on the field. Utah State just kicked a field goal and took a 3-0 lead at the end of the 2nd quarter. "I'm giving you a chance to play. Don't blow it!" Coach looks at you with twinkling eyes.

At halftime, Bryce grabs you and pushes you against the wall. "What are you doing to my Sophie?" He hisses at you and threatens you with his fist. "Take it easy, Bryce." You try to calm him down. "She wanted to support you, but since she's getting bad grades in geography, she almost didn't get to go." Bryce relaxes a little, and you adjust your pad again. "Tom Elder and I are helping her, she said it was important for you." Bryce pushes you against the wall once more. "Don't you dare lie to me, rookie." He hisses and walks away limping slightly.

"3 - 0 not what we expected, is it Todd?" Sean McDonough asks at the start of the second half. "Utah State starts with possession. Alabama was barely able to defend the runs and passes, and if Utah doesn't take that many penalties again, Nick Saban could be very unhappy going home." Adds Todd Blackledge.

"Also, Bryce Hellman is injured and new to the game for him is rookie John Jones, let's see if he gets into the game well and is up to his task today."

You play outside linebacker on the strong side. There's no tight end on the field this time, two receivers on either side, and the running back is on your side. The first running back is on the field and the defensive coordinator turns around. The snap begins and a receiver on your side runs behind the QB to the other side. As a pre-blocker, the running back goes forward. A handoff to the receiver.
