Jim bolted to his room and came back out fully dressed: a pair of denim overalls with straps over the shoulders and snaps in between the legs, with a new blue t-shirt that matched. He had a pair of socks and a pair of shoes with laces he tied all by himself. He wore his backpack, a rather mundane high schooler's backpack all things considered, that felt heavy over his shoulders.

As his mom grabbed her keys, they headed out to her car.

He threw his backpack into one of the vacant seats in the back as he climbed into a booster seat sitting in between the window seats, buckling himself in. The booster had cushions, but was proportionately smaller than a normal child's booster, having about the same cushion and spacing of the average pillow. While regular booster seats were meant to keep kids safe, Jim was too big to need a regular one. The booster seat he was in was purely for recreational purposes and was sold downtown in an ABDL shop.
