Broken Hart: Asa

Note: The following story takes place in the same universe/timeline as my Redwater story, Broken Hart and Crossroads story: Broken Hart: Sara. Knowledge of the events that have happened in that story is recommended but not required as this story will aim to be mostly standalone. I will link the story here for those of you who wish to check the story out anyway.

On a bright sunny California morning, a tall eighteen-year-old woman with pale, white skin with honey-blonde hair and stormy, light-sky-blue eyes stretched her arms before climbing out of bed, her long, slender legs carrying her across her bedroom, her slender, curvaceous body with very large breasts, a curvy, bubble-butt highlighted by the bra and panties she had worn to bed as she grabbed her gown, putting it on before opening her blinds and making her way downstairs.

As she walked downstairs towards the kitchen, Asa O’Reilly could smell the fresh scent of freshly brewed coffee and needing her daily caffeine she made her way to the kitchen of her shared university accommodation only to stop dead in her tracks at the sight before her.

There in the kitchen, her friend and roommate, Peter Grayson and her ex-girlfriend Hollie Hart were locked in a passionate kiss. Feeling like she was intruding on their private moment, Asa couldn't help but reminisce about how it felt to kiss Hollie, how both of them must be feeling about each other in that moment while also recalling how she and Hollie had broken up two weeks ago because they both wanted different things in life, something that still pained her.

Asa recalled how since they both still lived together in Aldridge House, their college accommodation and seeing each other daily was not helping them move on and so she had left to go to the Evergreen Woods area of Redwater City with her best friend, Sara Rose to get some distance and gather her thoughts. However upon returning only a couple of days ago she had returned home to learn that Peter and Hollie were now together and dating.

It was as she was thinking that, Hollie caught sight of her ex-girlfriend, quickly pulling away from Peter, an action that brought Asa out of her thoughts while Peter and Hollie looked at the blonde awkwardly.

"Asa," Hollie began to explain but she was unsure on how to do so to her ex-girlfriend.

"We were just making breakfast and got a little carried away..." Peter said as he interrupted Hollie.

"It's fine," Asa said as she took a deep breath. "You guys are together now, so you can do whatever makes you happy." Asa told them but she wasn't sure she one-hundred percent believed the words she was using. "I just want you both to be happy. Now can I get some coffee? I have classes in like two hours and I need all the energy I can get..."

"Yeah, of course," Peter said, moving to the counter to pour her a cup. “We've got a couple of classes to get to. We'll see you later, okay?"

“Yeah, we'll see you later.” Hollie quickly mumbled so quietly that Asa wasn't even sure if her ex-girlfriend had spoken.

Rather than focus on the new couple who not so long after that exited the kitchen, Asa took a sip of her coffee and thought more about her break-up with Hollie. She had told herself she was over Hollie, that their breakup was for the best and that's why she had returned back to college from the Rigby Ranch in Evergreen Woods but as she stared at the spot where Peter and Hollie had just been kissing, she couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy.

It was one thing to know Hollie had moved on but it was another to see it with her own eyes, especially with Peter, someone who had been a part of their lives since childhood, had been the man she had trusted to take her virginity when she was sixteen and was still a close friend that she, Sara, Peter and Hollie had all agreed to move into Aldridge House together.

Taking another sip of coffee, she tried to convince herself that she was happy for them. After all, Hollie deserved to be with someone who made her happy the way Peter did. And Peter had always been a good friend to her who dropped everything to help his friends and after everything he had lost recently with his parents passing he deserved the happiness Hollie brought him.

But as she pondered over her feelings, a part of her felt like she was being left behind. Her thoughts drifted back to the days when she and Hollie had been together, exploring the city, sharing laughter, and endless nights together. It was a time when the world had felt so full of promise and love and now she was alone and she found herself wondering if she could ever move on.
