You roll from your side onto one knee and lift yourself to stand face-to-face with your assailant, glaring into those empty eye sockets defiantly. “Bring it on, hell bitch!”

It is then that a mouth forms. A gaping maw, splitting the demon's faceless head from side to side, revealing a darkness blacker than the nothing in which you stand. You are frozen in space and time, unable to even think, as this entity opens before you, filling your field of view.

Tendrils of barbed flame whip out at your body, ripping away your clothes and scourging your flesh in your last moments, as you fall into the hungry abyss.
