"That's horrible, pumpkin! Is Janice still there?"

"Y-yes, and she still has my clothes in her purse."

"Give her the phone, honey, I'll talk with her."

"Th-thank you!" Brianna handed her phone to Janice, who braced for the worst.

"What the hell, Janice? Brianna's been my little pumpkin princess for almost half my life - you don't do what you did to *anyone*, and especially not her."

"I-I can explain, John..." it was Janice's turn to stammer.

"Oh, so we're not even denying it?" John cut her off. "Give her her clothes, now. I'm coming down there and having a talk to sort this all out."

Janice froze in a panic - she couldn't have John break up with her.
