Brian Starts Making His Move

While Kenny dealt with juggling his feelings for Nicole, as well as trying not to make things awkward for Mindy, Brian lead JJ and Anna on a short hike up the mountain. "We're getting close guys, it's just up here, my dad flattened out some of the land for the pond," Brian said after a good twenty minutes of hiking,

"Man I wish I could have heard your dad when he came up with this idea, Yeah I'd like one pond built on my mountain, what? Of course, I'm serious! Bet that must have been a sight," JJ joked out causing both Anna and Brian to laugh back,

Suddenly both Brian and JJ heard a small yelp as Anna; the men spun around immediately as saw Anna, one leg completely buried in snow, stuck in the ground, "Help..." Anna pouted slightly embarrassed as she got a genuine fright from falling into the hole. JJ and Brian, despite their best efforts, couldn't help but burst out laughing, "Shut up!" Anna whined before letting out another yelp, "AH, Snow's getting in my boot, it's cold! Help me!"

Brian took a few steps down the hill while he and JJ both grabbed one of Anna's hands, "On three," Brian told the others, "One. Two. Three!" He exclaimed while the two both pulled Anna up and out of the hole. Brian in a smooth motion pulled the slim blonde into his arms, "There we go," He softly sighed to her while obviously checking her out, "Perfect,"

JJ could only roll his eyes at Brian, no matter what, Brian couldn't help himself, he was a horndog at heart. "Um...thanks Bry," Anna softly mumbled back while her cheeks slightly blushed,

"And JJ," The black teen jokingly added for her,

JJ's words seemingly snapped Anna out of her small trance of staring at Brian's chiseled jawline and small scruffy beard, "Yes! Thank you both," Anna quickly agreed while pulling away from Brian, "So, uh...onward?" She said with a nervous half smile,

Brian nodded and turned around, giving JJ a small annoyed glare that only caused JJ to smile, "Sorry," He quickly whispered to Brian as he passed him by,

"Right, so let's keep on moving, almost there." Brian's said in a calm voice, even with JJ breaking his moment, he was pleased that he even had one. The moment he had with Anna gave him all he needed to know, she at least found him good-looking, and even if that was all she did, Brian could work with that. "Oh yeah, JJ," Brian suddenly remembered while turning to his friend, "The pond isn't that big which is kind of a good and bad thing,"

"Why are you only telling me this?" JJ asked with a slightly confused smirk,

"Depending on the snow and wind these last few days we may need to clean it off with a few push brooms and shovels." Brian explained, "Dad's got a shed up there with the tools, and it wouldn't take long since it never really piles on the water."

"I ask again, why are you only telling me this," JJ now joked while looking at Anna,

"Hey," Anna frowned back causing the men to snicker again, "Ugh, I guess chivalry is dead," Anna jokingly said before laughing along with the two,

The three finally got to the leveled off part of the mountain where a small pond sat, roughly the size of an underground pool. Brian and JJ got to the shed, and each grabbed a large push broom, quickly walking over and brushing the top of the ice off, luckily it was only a very thin layer. "You two sure that's safe?!" Anna called from behind them,

"Oh yeah, Ice is completely frozen, I mean like nearly all of it!" Brian instantly called back while slamming his boot down roughly a few times, not even hearing a crack in response, "We're all safe, promise!"

"If you say so!" Anna replied, not sounding very confident,

"Don't worry if you fall in I'll save you, promise!" Brian assured her with a grin before returning to sweeping the ice clean,

"Damn, you're really trying for her, aren't you?" JJ asked with a raised brow,

"I told you, man, I've always thought Anna was hot," Brian smirked back, "And if bringing her to a ski lodge to spend a week with me doesn't make her like me, nothing will."

"Depends how you play it," JJ replied with a small shrug,

"What do you mean?" Brian asked with a small frown, "You saw that look she gave me down there, she was straight up checking me out,"

"Yeah, because you're being nice and not pushing too hard," JJ replied causing Brian to roll his eyes and click his tongue, "I'm serious man, Anna's a sweet girl, she doesn't want some hard pushing guy up on her. If you start doing what you normally do, you'll scare her off, mark my words,"

"Dude..." Brian started to dismiss before stopping and thinking it over. Ironically he started to think about Nicole, Anna's polar opposite. He realized that the things he normally did got girls like her all the time, so if Anna were the opposite than that would make his normal moves, they'd likely backfire. "Shit, you're right, aren't you?" He asked causing JJ to smirk and nod, "Well, fuck man, I don't know how to switch my whole game up on a moments notice."

"Relax, I've been with a few girls like Anna," JJ replied with a smirk,

"JJ, you've only been with a few girls," Brian immediately joked back,

"But they were all like Anna, weren't they?" JJ asked back causing Brian to smirk and nod back, "Exactly, so listen, you gotta just keep doing what you're doing now. Make her feel comfortable, safe, and keep getting closer to her. But don't, I repeat, don't make the first move unless she asks or strong hints for it. I mean no sudden moves like going for a kiss and none of that surprise groping shit."

"Okay, but-" Brian tried to ask back,

"Hold on, I'm not done yet," JJ interrupted with a short chuckle, "Now you can make small moves, put an arm around her sometimes, tell her she looks good, easy stuff like that. You keep that up, I promise you, she'll start to come around."

Brian sighed and nodded back, JJ's plan was sound advice, but it sounded very slow and time-consuming for Brian's liking. Still, if it got him, Anna, it'd have to be worth it, "Okay, well...what should I do while we're here?"

"Right now she's scared to be on the ice; you should be there, make her calm, comfort her," JJ replied while giving a quick glance to Anna as she wandered around slowly, not paying attention to the pair. "Just have fun, be her friend today but don't expect anything, again, first moves got to be her." Brian nodded back, a bit reserved for the idea but knowing it was probably the best choice. "And Brian, I'm telling you this because you look like you really like her. If you're only planning on going for a cheap fuck...dude, it'd probably destroy her if you made it that far and left afterward."

Brian nodded back once again, thinking exactly about how far he wanted to go with Anna. JJ was right once again; Anna wasn't the type to just screw around for fun, it definitely meant something to her. He put the thoughts aside for now as they finished and walked over to Anna along with JJ. "Okay, we're all set, let's get our skates on." JJ quickly changed and was out on the ice in minutes while Brian got ready at Anna's speed, "Hey, seriously, don't worry about the ice, we're good."

"Yeah...I just haven't ever skated on anything other than an actual ice rink before," Anna meekly replied,

"Here, I'll help you get started, okay?" Brian said with an easy smile while helping Anna up and onto the ice. "Deep breath...and here we go," He said while Anna took a small breath and started to glide along the ice with him. JJ couldn't help but smirk as he watched the pair for a moment, silently he prayed that his helpful tips for Brian wouldn't end up blowing up in his face.
